If you pay for a subscription to skip commercials, you might find this new perk a bit surprising. Starting early next year, eligible subscribers in the United States will get Peacock added directly to their monthly YouTube plan at no extra cost. While this brings a massive library of shows and movies into one place, the version of Peacock included is the ad-supported tier.
The new bundle saves money but includes commercial breaks
Right now, an individual Premium plan costs $15.99 per month. A standalone subscription for the ad-supported version of Peacock costs another $10.99 per month. This means anyone currently paying for both streaming video services is spending nearly $27 each month. This new deal bundles them together, giving users a solid discount if they already watch both platforms.

However, the tradeoff comes with interruptions. While regular user-uploaded videos remain free of commercials, the television shows, movies, and live sports pulled from the Peacock catalog will still force you to sit through ads. The company plans to offer an upgrade path for users who want to pay the difference for the ad-free Premium Plus tier, which normally costs $16.99 per month.
All the new content lives inside the main app
This partnership with NBCUniversal pulls the entire Peacock catalog straight into the main viewing interface. You will be able to watch live NFL games, hit shows like The Office, and new movies without needing to download or open a separate application. The goal is to keep you watching inside one ecosystem instead of jumping between different apps on your phone or television.
Because YouTube Premium adds Peacock directly to its base plan, some users are already worrying about future price increases. The service just raised its monthly fee last year, and folding in an entire secondary platform might give it an excuse to push costs up again. For now, the monthly rate stays the same when the bundle launches in early 2027.
