Red Dead Redemption is coming to iOS on December 2, giving your iPhone a full console-level Western adventure. Rockstar Games confirmed that both the original game and its Undead Nightmare expansion will launch on mobile as part of a wider rollout across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and Android. The move brings one of the most acclaimed open-world games of the last decade to a new audience.
The original Red Dead Redemption debuted in 2010. It follows John Marston, a former outlaw pushed by federal agents to hunt down the last members of his old gang. Rockstar describes the story as a continuation of events from Red Dead Redemption 2. The company says players can “step into the events immediately following the blockbuster Red Dead Redemption 2, in the critically acclaimed tale of John Marston’s journey to bury his blood-stained past.”

Mobile Release and Controls
The iOS release includes the full single-player campaign and Undead Nightmare. In the expansion, you fight to stop a zombie plague from taking over the frontier. Rockstar says the mobile versions feature “mobile-friendly control options” and include bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition. While hardware requirements are still unknown, players will expect support for both touch controls and Bluetooth game controllers.
Netflix subscribers will be able to play Red Dead Redemption on iOS at no extra cost. The game will also be available on the App Store for users who prefer to buy it outright. Pricing remains unannounced, and compatibility details are still missing.
