My Data Request

A website called My Data Request works on your behalf to get your data. You can look up the company you want to get your data from. Sometimes a data request involves filling out a form or mailing a letter. So the website has templates you help you draft a request.

After you make a request, send it off. Depending on the company, it can take days or weeks. For example, I requested a copy of the data Apple has on me, and I only got a response to my email with the file today, several weeks later.

My Data Request is completely free to use, and doesn’t collect your personal data. If your data request was successful, let the company know by emailing hello@mydatarequest.aws.com with the subject “Feedback.”
