Price and release date
The $1,999 starting price is $800 above the $1,199 iPhone 18 Pro and $700 above the $1,299 Pro Max, both of which ship September 18. Apple also offers an Apple Upgrade lease from $57.99 a month on a 24-month term. The higher storage tiers remain unpriced.

Pre-orders open October 16 and the phone arrives October 23, five weeks after the 18 Pro, in more than 70 countries and regions, with 28 more on October 30.
Size, displays and design
Open, the Duo measures 164.6 mm wide by 117.8 mm tall. Closed, it is 84.1 mm wide, and Apple says the 5.4-inch outer display has more than 90 percent of the screen area of the iPhone 18 Pro.
The frame is mirror-polished Grade 5 titanium, the hinge cover is 3D-printed recycled titanium, and the outer glass is Ceramic Shield 2 with Ceramic Shield on the back. Apple has not published a hinge cycle rating or a crease measurement.
Cameras, Face ID and Apple Pencil
The rear camera is a 48MP Dual Fusion system with zero shutter lag, optical-quality 2x from the Main sensor and up to 10x digital zoom, but no dedicated telephoto lens, unlike the iPhone 18 Pro’s variable-aperture camera. Duo-only features include Smart Take, Duo Preview, Kid Cue and Duo FaceTime, all using the outer display, and there is a Camera Control button.
There is no Face ID. Touch ID in the side button handles unlocking, supports multiple fingers and works with Apple Watch unlock.
