iPhone Duo comes in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB, and Apple has published exactly one price: $1,999 for the 256GB model, or $83.29 a month for 24 months. The other three tiers have no price on Apple’s product page or in its press release.
That is the same situation as the iPhone 18 Pro, which offers the same four tiers and also has only its $1,199 and $1,299 starting prices published. What fills up storage on iPhone Duo
The Duo’s spec sheet has three things that eat storage faster than a typical iPhone. The first is the camera: both rear cameras are 48MP, and video goes up to 4K Dolby Vision at 120 fps, with Dual Capture recording the front and rear cameras at once.

The second is the display. A 7.6-inch, 3000-nit screen is the kind of thing that invites downloaded movies and shows, and Split View means two apps open at once. The third is Apple Pencil (USB-C) support on both displays, which Apple says arrives later in 2026 and will bring notes and drawings with it.
Apple has not said how much space iOS 27.1 and its Apple Intelligence models take on the Duo, or whether any feature is limited to a particular tier.

Which iPhone Duo storage should you buy?
Our analysis, with the caveat that three of the four prices are unknown: 256GB is enough if you stream video, keep your photo library in iCloud, and do not plan to shoot much 4K. It is the only tier where you know the total today.
512GB is the sensible default for a phone with two 48MP cameras and 4K 120 fps video, and we would expect most buyers to land there once Apple lists a price. 1TB and 2TB make sense if you keep a full video library on the device, or if you plan to use the inner display and Apple Pencil as a working surface for large files. The 2TB tier is new to iPhone this year and, given how few people fill 1TB, is a niche option.
One thing to watch: on the iPhone 18 Pro, Apple’s release lists 36 and 45 hours of video playback for the eSIM-only models, but the Duo’s 44-hour and 31-hour ratings are given without a per-tier or per-region caveat. Apple has not said whether storage affects any Duo battery or feature figure.
We expect Apple to list the 512GB, 1TB and 2TB prices by the time iPhone Duo pre-orders open on Friday, October 16 at 5 a.m. PT, ahead of availability on October 23.
