It does not work here. It depends on the keyboard. These work here:
= Option g
• = Shift Option 3
BTW, it is “g” above (not “G”) because G would mean Shift g.
I’m using an Apple Magic Keyboard and shift>option>k works for me.
So yes, it does likely depend on the keyboard.
