Jason and Daniela’s marriage is not confirmed over after Episode 4. Daniela leaves and says she needs space, but she also tells Jason that he is still her person and she is still his. The scene establishes a serious separation without turning it into a final breakup or divorce.
That distinction does not make the ending reassuring. Daniela says Jason cannot fix what she is experiencing. She must decide who she is after deception, violence and repeated escapes. Love remains present, but it no longer gives her enough safety to stay in the same home.

Daniela asks for distance, not a divorce
Daniela’s fear is tied to every version of Jason she has encountered. She thinks she sees other Jasons in public and reacts as if Charlie may be in danger, even when Charlie did not see the man. Her husband’s face now carries the possibility of protection, betrayal and violence at the same time.
Episode 4 does not frame those moments as proof that a variant has secretly replaced Jason1. Daniela knows the man beside her. The problem is that the multiverse has shown how closely love and danger can resemble each other before a Jason makes a choice.
The Box has destroyed ordinary trust
Jason’s equations deepen the divide. He believes that disentangling their Box from the network could protect the family without more travel. From his perspective, the work is an act of responsibility. From Daniela’s, it means the Box still controls his attention and their future.
Their conflict is therefore not simply whether Jason visits the machine again. It is whether he can accept that Daniela’s recovery cannot be engineered. When he asks what he can do, her answer is “nothing” because another plan from Jason would keep him at the center of a decision she needs to make herself.
Reconciliation requires more than another solution
A reconciliation remains possible if the separation changes that pattern. Jason would have to respect Daniela’s boundary and confront his own obsession, while Daniela would need time and support that do not depend on pretending the past can be erased. Episode 4 promises neither outcome.
