Twelve contestants remain before Physical 100: Mexico Episode 8. The field includes Ámbar Garnica, Ángel Quintero, Dominick Ficachi, Emmanuel Benítez, George Herrera, Iván Guerra, Jahir Ocampo, Jazmín Lira, Jesús Cárcamo, Freddy Bautista, Mariana Khalil and Pascal Nadaud.
That lineup preserves a useful mix of wrestling, obstacle racing, bodybuilding, basketball, diving, rugby and work-built strength. Episode 8 therefore cannot be reduced to finding the largest athlete. Its most revealing test will be one that makes every remaining specialist solve a weakness.

The final 12 bring different kinds of power
Garnica and Benítez bring high-level wrestling experience, while Herrera and Lira arrive from physique sports. Quintero’s obstacle-racing background favors movement and repeated effort. Ocampo’s diving career suggests explosive control, and Nadaud’s rugby experience combines contact, speed and endurance.

The less conventional profiles matter too. Guerra and Bautista built public identities around strength developed through construction work rather than a standard elite-sport pipeline. Their survival keeps the show’s central question open: whether the most useful physique comes from formal competition, occupation or broad adaptability.
Episode 8 should punish narrow specialization
Large team quests can protect a competitor whose skill fits only one part of a task. A late individual round removes that protection. Grip, pacing and decision-making become as important as maximum force when there is nobody else to absorb an error.
The best-positioned contestants are therefore not automatically the biggest names. Recovery also matters because Episodes 8 and 9 form one final release batch. A dominant performance can become a disadvantage if it empties the tank before the last quest.
The gender mix also keeps the comparison meaningful. Garnica, Lira and Khalil have reached the same late stage as athletes with very different body types and sporting histories. A well-designed task can test relative strength and efficiency without pretending that one silhouette represents physical perfection.
Episode 8 must also account for what the athletes have already spent. Competitors who survived through speed may now face heavy resistance, while those who relied on power may be asked to repeat effort without long recovery. Late-game design is most convincing when it rewards accumulated versatility instead of introducing a random advantage. That uncertainty keeps every one of the 12 names viable before the episode begins.
The winner is still unsupported before the finale
Netflix has confirmed the remaining field and release date, but the elimination order and champion belong to the new episodes. Predictions should stay tied to demonstrated strengths rather than leaks or certainty language.
Episode 8 begins with 12 distinct athletic arguments and must decide which ones remain convincing under final-stage pressure. Who has the most complete combination of strength, endurance and composure? Share your pick in the comments.
