Apple Card perks: 2% Booking.com credits, six months of Uber One, Hertz deals

Apple Card holders in the US can stack partner perks from Booking.com, Uber and Hertz on top of Daily Cash, according to Apple’s Apple Card page. The extras include 2% in Booking.com Travel Credits, a six-month free trial of Uber One and Hertz savings that start at 5% off, but each one needs a specific link or step to claim.

Apple lists these separately from its 3% Daily Cash merchants, and warns that “merchant offers may change at any time.” Here is how to claim each one.

Booking.com: 2% in Travel Credits plus 3% Daily Cash

Apple says Apple Card customers get “2% in Booking.com Travel Credits on eligible stays and car rentals booked with Apple Card.” That is in addition to 3% Daily Cash when you pay with Apple Card through Apple Pay.

To get both, follow these steps:

  • Open Booking.com through the exclusive link on Apple’s Apple Card page. Apple says bookings made in the regular Booking.com app or website, without that link, may not be eligible.
  • Look for stays and car rentals with the “Apple Card Benefits” badge.
  • Choose a rate you pay in advance, directly to Booking.com. For stays, Apple lists “Pay now,” “Pay later” and “Pay part now, part later” among the eligible types, as long as payment is made before check-in.
  • Pay with Apple Card with Apple Pay to earn the 3% Daily Cash as well.

Rates paid at the property, such as “Pay when you stay,” do not count, and neither does “Pay at pickup” for car rentals. Flights, packages, cruises, attractions and airport taxis are excluded from 3% Daily Cash.

The Travel Credits arrive only after your stay or rental is complete, and you can use them only on future Booking.com bookings.

Uber One: six months free

Apple Card customers can redeem a six-month free trial of Uber One. You also keep earning 3% Daily Cash when you pay with Apple Card through Apple Pay in the Uber and Uber Eats apps.

To claim the trial:

  • Sign up for an Uber One monthly membership through the exclusive link on Apple’s Apple Card page.
  • Use Apple Card, with Apple Pay set as the payment type on file when you enroll.
  • Pay with Apple Pay at checkout afterward to receive the Uber One benefits.

The offer is for new or returning Uber One members in the US and Puerto Rico, not existing subscribers, and you must be 18 or older. It does not apply to annual plans. After the six months, Uber One renews at $9.99 per month until you cancel. Apple’s terms say that if you cancel before the trial ends, “you will still receive the full 6 months free.”

Hertz: discounts and a free extra driver

The Hertz perks live in the Wallet app. Apple says you must visit the Rewards & Offers Hub in Apple Wallet for an exclusive link, which the fine print places in the Merchant Benefits section.

Booking through that link applies a discount code automatically. You get:

  • At least 5% off Pay Later base rates. Apple says the actual discount varies by date, location, length of rental and car class, and taxes, fees and options are excluded.
  • Free Emergency Roadside Service.
  • One free additional driver, who needs a credit card in their name on the reservation.
  • Loss Damage Waiver at a discounted $16.95 per day, plus tax.

These benefits are US only. Rentals must be cars, SUVs, electric vehicles, minivans or trucks picked up from and returned to US Hertz corporate locations, not franchise locations. Rentals longer than 61 days, cargo vans and box trucks are excluded.

You can earn 3% Daily Cash on top when you pay with Apple Card through Apple Pay at participating US Hertz locations. If you reserve with “Pay Later,” the charge happens at pickup, and Apple says paying with a different method at the counter means no 3% Daily Cash.

Ace Hardware and the rest of the 3% list

Ace Hardware also earns 3% Daily Cash when you pay with Apple Card through Apple Pay online, in its app or at participating stores listed at acehardware.com/applecard. Gift cards bought online or in the app are excluded.

Apple’s full 3% list covers Apple, Ace Hardware, Booking.com, ChargePoint, Duane Reade, Exxon Mobil, Hertz, Nike, Uber, Uber Eats and Walgreens. Everywhere else, Apple Card pays 2% Daily Cash with Apple Pay and 1% with the titanium card.

Who can use these perks

The partner perks are written for US customers. The Hertz benefits are US only, the Uber One offer covers the US and Puerto Rico, and Booking.com bookings made from a non-US IP address do not earn 3% Daily Cash. Booking.com, Uber and Hertz fulfill their own perks, which Apple says are unaffiliated with Apple Card’s Daily Cash program.
