Apple is bringing a brand new education hub to Hanoi, Vietnam. The brand just announced its plans to open an education center dedicated to training the local people who assemble and build its products. This marks the very first training facility of its kind in the country. It is specifically designed to give supply chain workers new technical skills and career growth opportunities starting this fall.
The new facility offers courses in robotics and soft skills
The center will run in partnership with the Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Workers will have access to a mix of online and face-to-face classes. The curriculum covers highly technical subjects like manufacturing, automation, and robotics. It also goes beyond just technical abilities. Apple is including leadership and soft skills training to help employees either move up in their current jobs or pivot to entirely different career paths.
This project is backed by a massive 50 million dollar global fund the company set up back in 2022 to develop its supplier employees. So far, this fund has delivered over nine million training sessions worldwide. The support reaches past just career skills. It funds programs that teach workplace rights and provides health resources, including disease screening and mental health support.

The new Hanoi center adds to the nearly 20 educational programs Apple already operates for supplier employees across Vietnam. Since 2017, more than 108,000 workers have taken Swift programming courses through these initiatives. Building a dedicated physical center shows a deeper commitment to the region. It turns a scattered training approach into a permanent resource that will continue educating the local workforce for years to come.
