Apple has rolled out a revised build of iOS 26 designed solely for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The update is already live on Appleās servers ahead of the devices reaching customers tomorrow.
A new build for Appleās latest iPhones
While iOS 26 rolled out to all supported iPhones earlier this week, Apple has prepared a slightly revised build specifically for its flagship iPhone 17 models. The build numbers are:
- 23A345: New build for iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max
- 23A341: Original build released earlier this week
Apple has not explained the reason for this new release. The company typically reserves such builds for last-minute fixes or adjustments that apply only to new hardware. Users should not expect any new features, and the changes are likely limited to bug fixes and optimizations for the iPhone 17 Pro line.
Bug fixes included
Apple previously acknowledged a āvery rareā camera bug affecting the iPhone 17 series. In some cases, photos taken with the new devices showed blacked-out portions or other visual glitches when exposed to LED lighting. The company confirmed a software fix was in development. It is possible this new iOS 26 build includes that patch.
Evidence also points to iOS 26.0.1 arriving soon for all iPhone models. That release is expected to address early issues in the wider rollout of iOS 26.
For now, the new build of iOS 26.0 remains exclusive to the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, giving Apple a head start on fine-tuning its flagship devices ahead of launch day.
