Apple TV has confirmed five premiere dates between Wednesday, September 23 and Friday, November 20, 2026: the comedy series Brothers, the comedy series Small Prophets, the film Matchbox The Movie, the crime drama Nocturne and the film Way of the Warrior Kid. Every date below comes from an Apple newsroom or Apple TV press release, not a leak or a rumor.
Apple named all five before its September 9 hardware keynote and kept publishing them on its own separate schedule afterward. None of the five is connected to that event, which the streaming side of Apple did not mention at all.
Apple’s original 2026 slate release, published in February, already listed more than a dozen series and films with premiere dates running from February through late July. These five are the ones still ahead of readers this week, the stretch of the calendar Apple has confirmed but nobody has yet watched.

Apple TV’s five dated premieres, at a glance
| Title | Premiere date |
|---|---|
| Brothers | Wednesday, September 23, 2026 |
| Small Prophets | Wednesday, October 7, 2026 |
| Matchbox The Movie | Friday, October 9, 2026 |
| Nocturne | Friday, October 30, 2026 |
| Way of the Warrior Kid | Friday, November 20, 2026 |
Apple published each date on its own timeline, weeks apart, rather than bundling them into one announcement. Small Prophets, Nocturne and Way of the Warrior Kid are the three most recently confirmed with individual Apple TV press releases; Brothers and Matchbox The Movie were named earlier, in Apple’s original 2026 slate documents.
| Title | Names Apple has published |
|---|---|
| Brothers | Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson |
| Small Prophets | Mackenzie Crook, creator |
| Matchbox The Movie | Not published |
| Nocturne | Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz, Stephen Graham |
| Way of the Warrior Kid | Chris Pratt, Jude Hill |
Brothers and Small Prophets open the calendar
Brothers premieres globally on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, a comedy series starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, per Apple’s own trailer release. Two weeks later, Small Prophets premieres its first season on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, credited to BAFTA Award-winning creator Mackenzie Crook and described by Apple as a comedy. Neither release names a full supporting cast beyond those credits, and Apple has not published an episode count for either series.
Matchbox The Movie, then Nocturne and Way of the Warrior Kid
Matchbox The Movie premieres Friday, October 9, 2026. Apple’s 2026 slate names the title and the date and nothing else: no cast, no genre, no runtime. Three weeks later, Nocturne makes its global debut on Friday, October 30, 2026, a crime drama starring Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz and Stephen Graham, running ten episodes with the first two released at launch. Three weeks after that, Way of the Warrior Kid premieres Friday, November 20, 2026, a film starring Chris Pratt and Jude Hill. Apple’s slate does not give Way of the Warrior Kid a runtime or a genre either.
Two more titles Apple has named but not dated
Apple’s slate also names two returning titles with no premiere date attached. Slow Horses season 6, starring Sir Gary Oldman, got a first-look release in June 2026 that named no date at all. Ted Lasso season 4 was already dated only “summer 2026” in Apple’s original February release, and that window has passed without an updated date appearing in Apple’s own material. Both remain confirmed but undated, which is different from unconfirmed.
Where this sits on Apple’s own 2026 calendar
None of these five premieres depends on Apple’s other 2026 work. iOS 27 arrives free on Monday, September 14, 2026. iPhone 18 Pro, AirPods 5 and Apple Watch Series 12 all reach stores Friday, September 18, 2026, five days before Brothers premieres. Apple’s September 9 keynote did not mention any of these five titles, and Apple’s TV press office kept publishing on its own separate schedule that same week, including a premiere, Last Seen, dated for the same day as the keynote itself.
That overlap is easy to miss because Apple treats the two calendars as entirely separate operations. Apple’s hardware pages never link out to its TV press site, and the TV press releases never mention iPhone, Apple Watch or AirPods by name. Readers tracking both have to check two different parts of Apple’s own site, because neither side cross-references the other.
What Apple has not said
- No premiere date for Slow Horses season 6, beyond the June 2026 first look.
- No updated date for Ted Lasso season 4 beyond “summer 2026.”
- No cast, genre or runtime for Matchbox The Movie.
- No genre or runtime for Way of the Warrior Kid beyond its two named stars.
Today is Saturday, September 12, 2026. Brothers is the first of the five to arrive, eleven days from now, on Wednesday, September 23.
