This is a snapshot of the list as it currently reads, not a report of anything newly added to it. Apple’s page does not date individual entries, so nothing here should be read as “just changed status,” only as “currently listed.”

Apple’s vintage list names seven Mac laptops: MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2019), MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2020), MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019, with two Thunderbolt 3 ports), MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019, with four Thunderbolt 3 ports), MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2019), MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) and MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, 2017). On the desktop side, nine models are named: iMac (21.5-inch, Early 2013), iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2017), iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Mid 2015), iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017), iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019), Mac mini (Late 2014), Mac mini (2018), Mac Pro (Mid 2012) and Mac Pro (Late 2013).

iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and AirPods on the vintage list
Apple’s page describes the iPhone entries as running from iPhone 6s through iPhone 11 Pro Max, a single continuous range rather than a scattered set of individual models. iPad Air 3rd generation and several iPad Pro models are named, though Apple’s page does not itemize which specific iPad Pro generations beyond that. Apple Watch Series 3, 4 and 5 are named outright, and AirPods (1st generation) is the sole AirPods entry currently on the vintage side of the page.
What sits on the separate obsolete list
Apple’s obsolete list is a different section of the same page, and covers older hardware still: PowerBooks, iBooks, early MacBooks, iPods, iPhone models from the original iPhone through iPhone X, older iPads, Beats products and older Apple Watches. Apple’s page groups these by product family rather than naming every individual model, so a fuller model-by-model obsolete breakdown is not something Apple’s own page supports.
Vintage and obsolete are about parts and service, not software
Both statuses on this page govern hardware service and parts availability, not whether a device keeps receiving software updates. That distinction sits underneath every category listed above, whether it is a nine-year-old Mac Pro or a first-generation AirPods case, and it is worth carrying into any of these entries individually rather than assuming the list says anything about what still works.
What Apple has not said
Apple has not published which of these entries, if any, are new since the list’s previous revision. It has not published exact discontinuation dates for each model, and it has not published a single combined table sorted by category the way this one is; the groupings above are assembled from the same page Apple already publishes, in the order Apple already presents them. As of Saturday, September 12, 2026, the list remains dated August 31, alongside an entirely separate news cycle around iPhone 18 Pro and Apple Watch Series 12, both of which are nowhere near either list.
