Apple Card Monthly Installments needs a specific carrier connection. Certain storefronts turn off financing entirely. And in India, one offer explicitly will not stack with another.
None of this is hidden, but it is scattered across separate pages rather than laid out as a single set of rules, so it is worth collecting in one place before checkout.

The carrier rule inside Apple Card financing
Apple’s own wording on its financing page is direct: to buy an iPhone with Apple Card Monthly Installments, a customer must select AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon at checkout, and a prepaid carrier plan does not qualify at all. Choosing to stay unlocked, or connecting through a smaller carrier, removes the 0 percent installment option even though the iPhone itself is still for sale.

Storefronts where financing simply is not offered
Apple Card Monthly Installments is also absent from certain storefronts by design. Apple’s terms list special storefronts generally, along with the Apple Employee Purchase Plan and participating corporate Employee Purchase Programs, as places where the installment option does not appear at checkout. A discount tied to one of those storefronts and a 0 percent Apple Card plan are not both on the table at the same time.
India’s stacking rule, stated in Apple’s own terms
Apple India’s ways-to-buy page states its cashback and No Cost EMI offers are not available to Business customers, and cannot be combined with Education or Corporate Employee Purchase Plan pricing. That sits alongside a separate wrinkle worth restating carefully: Apple India’s cashback ceiling of up to ₹15,000 is a store-wide figure, while the amount reported specifically for iPhone 18 Pro is up to ₹7,000. The two are not the same offer, and neither combines with Education or Corporate pricing regardless of which one applies.

The connectivity discount is easy to assume still applies because it appears in Apple’s own footnotes on the current buy page. It does not extend to iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, or iPhone Duo. The veterans and military storefront is a separate case worth its own look, since it trades a 10 percent discount for the loss of both financing routes at once.
What has not been confirmed
- Apple has not said whether Apple Trade In credit can be applied on top of an Apple Upgrade lease.
- Apple has not published a single combined list of every exclusion; each rule sits in its own footnote or terms page.
- Apple has not said whether Boost Mobile, now a checkout option, will ever carry its own installment or credit terms.
