AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss for iPhone Duo costs $19.99 a month or $199.99 a year, according to Apple’s online store. Under that plan, a cracked outer screen costs $29 to fix, but damage to the folding inner display costs $99.
On September 13, Apple had confirmed AppleCare+ for iPhone Duo without giving a price. Both the plan price and the service fees are now on Apple’s own pages, four weeks before pre-orders open on October 16.
What the plan costs
Apple’s buy page for iPhone Duo offers AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss as the single-device option, billed monthly or yearly until cancelled. The foldable costs $5 a month, or $50 a year, more to cover than iPhone 18 Pro or iPhone 18 Pro Max.

| Plan | iPhone Duo | iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max |
|---|---|---|
| AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss, monthly | $19.99 | $14.99 |
| AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss, yearly | $199.99 | $149.99 |
| AppleCare One Individual, monthly | $19.99 | $19.99 |
Twelve monthly payments on the Duo plan add up to $239.88, so paying $199.99 up front saves $39.89 a year.
The plan itself is the same one Apple sells for its other iPhones. Apple’s store lists unlimited repairs for accidental damage such as drops and spills, theft and loss coverage for up to two claims every 12 months, 24/7 priority support, and Express Replacement Service. Theft and loss claims also depend on Find My staying switched on.
The service fees, screen by screen
Apple’s AppleCare+ fee table, which sits behind its iPhone repair pages, now includes an iPhone Duo entry. It is the only iPhone in that table with two separate display lines.
| AppleCare+ service | iPhone Duo | iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max |
|---|---|---|
| Battery service | $0 | $0 |
| Front display damage (Duo) or screen damage (Pro) | $29 | $29 |
| Inner display damage | $99 | Not applicable |
| Back glass damage | $29 | $29 |
| Other accidental damage | $99 | $99 |
| Theft or loss | $149 | $149 |
The outer display and the back glass each cost $29 under the plan, exactly what iPhone 18 Pro owners pay for a screen or back glass. The large folding panel inside is charged at $99, the same fee Apple applies to “other accidental damage.” Every other Duo fee matches the iPhone 18 Pro.
Apple’s out-of-warranty estimate tool still has no iPhone Duo entry. It lists iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone 18 Pro and older models, but gives no price for a Duo screen, hinge or battery repair without coverage. An Apple hardware VP has explained how the hinge and display were built to last, but the missing price is the one owners will care about most if they skip AppleCare+.
AppleCare+ or AppleCare One
The store page puts a second option next to AppleCare+: AppleCare One Individual, also at $19.99 a month. On iPhone 18 Pro, AppleCare One costs $5 more than single-device AppleCare+. On iPhone Duo, the two cost the same each month.
Apple describes AppleCare One as “all the benefits of AppleCare+ for up to 3 products,” including devices you already own, with theft and loss coverage for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch up to three total claims every 12 months. Further products can be added for $5.99 a month each. AppleCare One’s claim limits differ from single-device AppleCare+, so check them before you choose.
For a Duo buyer who also owns an uncovered iPad, Apple Watch or pair of AirPods, AppleCare One can protect up to two of them alongside the Duo for the same monthly price as covering the Duo alone. Someone who owns only the Duo, and is happy to pay yearly, still pays less with AppleCare+ at $199.99 a year. AppleCare One is shown on the store page with monthly billing only.
When you can buy it
iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 in the US. Pre-orders open October 16 and the phone ships October 23. AppleCare+ can be added at checkout on Apple’s buy page. All prices above are Apple’s US figures.
