Apple states the phone’s own weight to the nearest gram and its dimensions to a tenth of a millimeter, open and closed. That same precision has not carried over to the two accessories sold to go around it, even though all three were priced and announced in the same week.
Why the number matters on this particular phone
iPhone Duo is built around being propped up rather than laid flat. Apple’s own description of iOS 27 on this device names StandBy, landscape, portrait, seated and standing positions, and the Folio’s kickstand exists to hold one of those positions without a table edge to lean against. A case’s weight, and where that weight sits, changes how a propped device balances far more than it would on a phone that only ever rides flat in a pocket. Apple also describes the Duo’s hinge as built from more than 100 components under a 3D-printed titanium cover, but it says nothing about how an added case or folio interacts with that hinge across repeated folding.
