The same pages, dated precisely elsewhere
Sitting next to those six vague phrases, Apple’s own pages carry dates it is willing to name exactly. Siri AI’s additional languages, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish, are dated ‘coming in October,’ a specific month. iPhone Duo’s own accessories, the $79 Case and the $129 Folio with Kickstand, are dated to become orderable ‘beginning Friday, October 16.’ Developer workshops for building apps for iPhone Duo are dated ‘coming later this month,’ as stated on September 11, meaning within September rather than open-ended.

Apple’s own pages do not state that cutoff themselves. ‘Coming late 2026’ narrows the window further by ordinary reading, toward the final months of the year, again without Apple stating a specific month or date range.
What ‘a future software update’ does not commit to
This is the least specific of the four phrases. It does not name 2026, it does not name iOS 27 or any point release, and it does not distinguish between a matter of weeks and a matter of years. Messages Suggestions and the Passwords app’s security alerts share this exact phrase, and neither Apple page attaches anything more specific to it.

Why this is worth tracking rather than guessing
Each of the six features above shipped with the September 9 announcements but arrives after the initial release, and Apple’s own iOS 27 release date coverage and iPhone Duo specs page are the places to recheck as the year moves on, since Apple has a track record of updating these exact phrases to a real date closer to release.
What Apple has not said
Apple has not published a month, a build number, or a release-order sequence for SynthID, Apple Pencil support on iPhone Duo, Messages Suggestions, the Passwords app’s alerts, the redesigned Health app, Health Age, or Watch Audio Intelligence. Each remains dated only in the terms quoted above.
iOS 27, watchOS 27 and the rest of the 27 family arrive Monday, September 14, 2026, which is the date to watch for any of these six phrases turning into an exact one.
