Apple’s first foldable iPhone continues to surface in leaks, and the latest report focuses on storage options and expected pricing. The upcoming device, often referred to as the iPhone Fold, will reportedly launch with three storage tiers that match Apple’s current high-end iPhone lineup. Early estimates also suggest the foldable model will sit at the top of Apple’s price range once it arrives.
The leak points to a premium strategy where Apple positions the foldable iPhone above the existing Pro and Pro Max models. Pricing conversions suggest the device will cost far more than current flagship iPhones, which reflects the complex display technology and new hinge design that a foldable device requires.
According to the Weibo-based leaker Instant Digital, Apple plans to offer the foldable iPhone with three storage configurations. The leak also includes rough price estimates based on Chinese yuan conversions, which provide a general idea of where Apple could place the device in its lineup.
Expected iPhone Fold Storage Options
- 256GB – around $2,300
- 512GB – around $2,600
- 1TB – around $2,900
These prices represent approximate conversions and do not reflect final U.S. retail pricing. Apple typically adjusts prices for different regions, taxes, and market conditions.
For comparison, Apple currently sells the iPhone 17 Pro with the same three storage tiers, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max adds a 2TB option. However, the foldable iPhone will likely cost much more because of its new design and advanced hardware.
Current reports suggest Apple plans to introduce the foldable iPhone during its September product event. If the pricing estimates hold, the device will become the most expensive iPhone Apple has ever released.
