Apple has released visionOS 27.2 beta 2 for Apple Vision Pro, carrying build number 24N5093f. The prerelease update gives developers and beta testers another chance to check their apps before the next visionOS 27.2 build reaches the public.
Apple’s visionOS 27 release notes identify one change as enabled in beta 2. A wearer can now activate Siri by looking at the Siri orb and speaking a request, without first saying “Siri” or “Hey Siri.”
What changes in beta 2
The new gaze-based Siri action is the clearest user-facing addition Apple has documented for this seed. It builds on the broader visionOS 27 feature set, but it remains beta software and may change before a public release.

Apple also flags a developer compatibility issue involving USDKit. Meshes compressed with the first beta cannot be decoded by beta 2, and meshes compressed with beta 2 cannot be decoded by beta 1. That warning matters to developers exchanging 3D assets across machines running different seeds, rather than to most people simply using Vision Pro.
Install with the usual beta caution
Apple Vision Pro owners should install the build only if their device is enrolled for beta updates and they accept the usual risk of bugs, app problems, and battery changes. Developers can use the seed to test software against the 27.2 SDK included with Xcode 27.2 beta.
The release continues Apple’s work on visionOS 27 while the hardware lineup now spans different generations. Some recent capabilities are limited by hardware, including features reserved for the M5 Vision Pro, so testers should check Apple’s device requirements rather than assume every feature works on every headset.
Apple has not announced a public release date for visionOS 27.2. Anyone relying on Vision Pro for daily work should wait for the finished update, while developers can use beta 2 to verify Siri interactions and 3D content compatibility now.
