iPhone 18 Pro pre-orders open at one instant worldwide, 12:00 UTC on Saturday, September 12, and almost every Apple storefront writes that instant in the local clock. Two do not. Apple Canada tells Canadians to be ready at “5:00 am PT”, and Apple UAE says “4:00 p.m. local time” without naming a zone.
Canada is the sharper case, because Apple’s newsroom does the same thing. The Canadian press release says pre-orders begin “at 5 a.m. PT this Saturday, September 12”. A buyer in Toronto or Halifax is never given a Canadian time on any Apple page we checked, and has to do the conversion themselves.

Japan is the only Apple newsroom that localized the time
Apple’s press releases handle this differently from its store pages, and differently from each other. The UK, India and Canada releases all say “beginning at 5 a.m. PT this Saturday, September 12”. The German release says 5:00 Uhr PDT, using the daylight abbreviation where the English releases use PT.

Apple Japan is the exception. Its release gives 9 p.m. Japan time on Saturday, September 12, with sale from Friday, September 18. It is the only newsroom in this set that converts for its own readers.
For the UK and India the two Apple pages are arithmetically consistent, so this is a difference of presentation rather than of fact. Canada is the one market where both pages give Pacific Time and neither gives a local one.

Those are our conversions from the 12:00 UTC anchor, not Apple figures. New Zealand is worth flagging separately, because it is the only market in this group where the pre-order lands on a different calendar day.
Australia’s page uses AEST, and that matters this month
Apple’s Australian store page says 10:00 pm AEST rather than AEDT, which is correct because Australian daylight saving does not begin until October. The practical result is that Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane share 10 p.m. while Adelaide is at 9:30 p.m. and Perth at 8 p.m.
What each storefront publishes about stock
Nothing. No Apple store page in this set publishes stock levels, allocation, expected demand or a sell-out warning for iPhone 18 Pro or iPhone 18 Pro Max.
The single purchase constraint we found on any of them is on Apple’s Singapore store, which lists a limit of two iPhone 18 Pro and two iPhone 18 Pro Max per customer. Apple’s US retail sales policies reserve the right to “limit order quantity” without publishing a number.
What has not been confirmed
- Any Canadian local time for the pre-order, on either Apple Canada page.
- Any time zone abbreviation on Apple’s UAE page.
- Any stock, allocation or shipping estimate before an order is placed.
- Any per-customer limit outside Singapore.
- Any pre-order date for the 20 second-wave countries that get iPhone 18 Pro on Friday, September 25.
Pre-orders open at 12:00 UTC on Saturday, September 12, and the phones reach stores on Friday, September 18. iPhone Duo repeats the pattern on Friday, October 16 at 5 a.m. PT, and iOS 27 arrives on Monday, September 14.
