No retailer has published a discount on Apple Watch Ultra 4. The one confirmed launch promotion in this category is Best Buy’s, and its listing applies it to Apple Watch Series 12 pre-orders, not Ultra 4: up to $325 off with an eligible Apple Watch trade-in, expiring 9/18/2026. Amazon lists Ultra 4 at $799 with no discount, no gift card and no credit.
That leaves Apple’s own routes, and only one of them takes a meaningful amount off the price on the day you buy. It is Apple Trade In, and how much it is worth depends entirely on which watch is already on your wrist.

Apple Trade In is the route that actually works
Apple’s Trade In page carries no per-model dollar table. It asks condition questions and produces an estimate, and Apple’s wording is that the amount depends on the device, model, manufacturer and condition. The figures here are the values recorded for individual Apple Watch models when Apple changed them on September 9, not a list Apple publishes.

Credit is applied instantly at the point of sale, which is the structural difference between Apple and a carrier or retailer promotion. There is no waiting period and nothing to forfeit later.

Those subtractions are our arithmetic on Apple’s published $799 and the recorded trade-in values. Every figure in the middle column is a maximum for a watch in good condition. A cracked screen, a swollen battery or a failed diagnostic produces a lower quote, sometimes far lower.
The lease, the 10 percent and the 3 percent
- Apple Upgrade at $24.99 a month over 24 months adds up to $599.76, which looks cheaper than $799 until you note that you do not own the watch. Apple’s terms let you upgrade, return, or buy it outright with a one-time payment it has not published. AppleCare is not included, unlike the programme this replaced.
- The Veterans and Military Purchase Program takes 10 percent off, or $79.90. Apple states that Apple Card Monthly Installments and Apple Upgrade are both unavailable in that storefront, so the discount and the financing are a choice, not a stack.
- Apple Card Daily Cash returns 3 percent on Apple purchases up front, which is $23.97 on $799.
Two years of satellite messaging, Emergency SOS and Find My are included with Ultra 4 at no charge, per Apple’s release. That is real value rather than a price cut, and it does not reduce what you pay on September 18.
What has not been confirmed
- No Ultra 4 discount has been published by Best Buy, Walmart, Costco or Target. Best Buy’s trade-in offer names Series 12 pre-orders.
- Apple has not published an AppleCare Plus price for Ultra 4, or a price for the Hermes Ultra 4 and its Grand H titanium band.
- Apple has not published band prices for the new Trail Loop, Alpine Loop or Ocean Band colors.
- Apple Certified Refurbished carries Apple Watch as a category with savings of up to 15 percent, but no Ultra 4 stock exists yet and Apple publishes no schedule for when a model appears.
- Best Buy has not published which watch earns its $325 ceiling.
Ultra 4 reaches stores on Friday, September 18, alongside Apple Watch Series 12 and the new AirPods 5. Nothing published so far suggests the $799 figure moves before then, so the only decision with a deadline is whether an old watch goes to Apple for instant credit.
