Apple lists the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro at 219,800 yen in Japan, AED 5,099 in the UAE and S$1,899 in Singapore, and the most consequential difference between the three storefronts is not the price. Japan and the UAE are both on Apple’s eSIM-only list, so phones sold there have no SIM tray at all, while Singapore is not on that list.
That matters because a phone bought abroad is that market’s device. It carries the warranty and service terms of the storefront that sold it and the eSIM arrangement of the country it was built for, and neither of those travels home with you just because the phone does.

What the three storefronts charge
Every tier is published in all three markets, which is more than Apple has done for several European storefronts. The ladders differ in shape as well as in currency, so the top of the range is worth checking against the US prices and the $100 increase before you decide where the phone is worth buying.

Apple’s Japanese newsroom release for iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max was not reachable when these figures were collected, so the Japanese accessory prices are not stated here. The Store page tiers above were read directly from apple.com in each region.
The eSIM split matters more than the price
Apple’s eSIM-only list covers Bahrain, Canada, Guam, Japan, Kuwait, Mexico, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the United States and the U.S. Virgin Islands. A Japanese or Emirati iPhone 18 Pro therefore has no SIM tray, and a Singaporean one does.
For most travellers that is a non-issue, because iPhone 18 Pro supports dual eSIM with two lines active at once and eight or more stored. It becomes an issue if you rely on a carrier or a country where a physical SIM is still how service is provisioned, in which case buying the eSIM-only hardware removes an option you cannot add back later.
Warranty and service follow the market you bought in
A phone purchased in Japan is sold under the Japanese storefront’s terms, one bought in the UAE under the Emirati storefront’s terms, and so on. That covers the warranty, the service process and whether AppleCare+ can be bought or transferred, and it is the single most common surprise for anyone who buys a phone on a trip and needs it repaired at home.
None of our sources carry Apple’s per-country warranty text, so we are not quoting terms. Check the warranty and service pages on the local Apple site of the country you are buying in before you hand over the money, not after. AppleCare+ prices for either iPhone 18 Pro model are also unpublished in every region we could read, so the cost of covering the phone cannot be worked into the sum yet.
Pre-order times, availability and Singapore’s two-per-customer limit
Pre-orders open at 9 p.m. JST in Japan, 4 p.m. local time in the UAE and 8 p.m. SGT in Singapore, all on Saturday, September 12, and all three countries are in the first availability wave on Friday, September 18. Apple’s Singapore page also sets a limit of two iPhone 18 Pro and two iPhone 18 Pro Max units per customer, which is worth knowing if you were planning to buy for other people.
Apple has not published a purchase limit for Japan or the UAE, and it has not published stock guidance for any of the three. Buying on the day of availability from a country you are visiting means competing with local demand with no reservation system published.
What Apple has not said
- Per-country warranty and service terms. Not in any source used here, so confirm them on the local Apple site.
- AppleCare+ prices for iPhone 18 Pro in Japan, the UAE or Singapore. Apple renders those figures client side and they were not in the served content.
- Japanese accessory prices for iPhone 18 Pro. The Japanese newsroom release was not reachable when these prices were collected.
- Trade-in values in any of the three markets. Apple publishes a $175 to $885 range for the US and nothing per model elsewhere.
All three storefronts open pre-orders on September 12 and ship from September 18, with iOS 27 arriving free on September 14. If the plan involves buying on a trip, settle the eSIM question and the local warranty terms first, because those are the two things you cannot change after checkout.
