An iPhone 18 Pro, an Apple Watch Series 12 and a pair of AirPods 5 come to $1,727 at Apple’s list prices. What you cannot do is add up three published monthly figures and call it the monthly cost, because Apple publishes one for the iPhone, a lease figure for the Watch, and nothing at all for the AirPods.
Those are three different financial products sitting in one basket. Apple Card Monthly Installments is a purchase spread over 24 months at 0 percent APR. Apple Upgrade is a lease provided by Klarna Inc. that does not end in ownership. AirPods have no published monthly route from Apple at all.

Why the monthly figures do not simply add up

Apple’s financing page states the term for iPhone as 24 months and shows a 12-month example on Mac. It does not publish an installment term for Apple Watch or AirPods, so a combined installment figure is not something Apple has quoted. Spread the whole $1,727 across 24 months at 0 percent and the arithmetic gives $71.96 a month, which is our calculation on Apple’s list prices rather than a number Apple has published.

Mixing the lease into the basket makes it worse rather than better. A leased Watch at $11.99 a month plus a bought iPhone at $49.95 comes to $61.94, but after 24 months you own one of the two devices. The 3 percent that comes back straight away
Apple pays 3 percent Daily Cash on purchases at Apple with Apple Card, and its wording is that the cash back arrives all up front. On $1,727 that is $51.81, and on the $1,747 version with the Wireless Charging Case it is $52.41. Both are our arithmetic on Apple’s published rate.
The condition is the same one that governs the iPhone half of the basket. Apple requires AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon to be selected to buy an iPhone with installments, and prepaid plans are not supported. That rule attaches to the phone rather than the Watch or the earbuds.
Three devices is exactly where AppleCare One lands
Apple’s coverage subscription costs $19.99 a month for up to three products, with each additional device at $5.99 a month. A phone, a watch and a set of AirPods fills that allowance precisely, and a new AppleCare One Family plan at $49.99 a month covers up to six people through Family Sharing from September 14, with six claims a year across the group.
Adding the individual plan takes the modelled monthly figure for the trio from $71.96 to $91.95, and across 24 months the coverage alone is $479.76. There is no way to check that against per-device AppleCare Plus, because Apple has not published an AppleCare Plus price for iPhone 18 Pro, Apple Watch Series 12 or AirPods 5. The rows exist on Apple’s support pages with the prices missing.
Timing, and the one confirmed trade-in offer
- Apple Watch Series 12 and AirPods 5 can be ordered now. iPhone 18 Pro pre-orders do not open until 5 a.m. PT on Saturday, September 12, so a single basket means waiting for the phone.
- All three arrive on Friday, September 18, whichever day they are ordered.
- Best Buy’s listing takes up to $325 off an Apple Watch Series 12 pre-order with an eligible Apple Watch trade-in, and that offer expires on 9/18/2026. Best Buy has published no iPhone 18 Pro launch offer.
- Apple Trade In credit is applied instantly at checkout, and Apple puts the range at $175 to $885 for an iPhone 13 or later.
What has not been confirmed
Apple has not published an installment term for Apple Watch or AirPods, a combined monthly figure for a multi-device basket, or AppleCare Plus prices for any product it launched in September 2026. It publishes only the $399 starting price for Apple Watch Series 12, not a full per-configuration list, and Verizon has published no iPhone 18 Pro offer at all.
Pre-orders for the phone open on Saturday, September 12, and the Watch, the AirPods and the iPhone all land on Friday, September 18, so the whole basket resolves in one week. Our event recap lists every price Apple confirmed on September 9.
