The cheapest legitimate way to buy an iPhone 18 Pro in India is to exchange an old phone first, then pay with a qualifying card on No Cost EMI. What is less obvious is that the instant cashback is already inside the monthly figure Apple India publishes, so the headline EMI is not the starting point for a discount. It is the finish line.
iPhone 18 Pro starts at ā¹1,64,900 with EMI listed from ā¹26,316 a month. Multiply that monthly figure by six and you get ā¹1,57,896, which is almost exactly ā¹7,000 below the list price. That pattern holds on every tier of both models.
| Key fact | What Apple India publishes |

| iPhone 18 Pro Max | ā¹1,79,900 for 256GB, rising to ā¹3,29,900 for 2TB |
| No Cost EMI | 3-month and 6-month tenures from most leading card issuers |
| Instant cashback | Up to ā¹15,000 across the store, with qualifying Amex, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards |
| Exchange | Save up to ā¹62,000 when you exchange an eligible smartphone |

The prices, and the monthly figure that gives the game away
| Configuration | List price | Apple’s monthly EMI | Six payments, our arithmetic |
|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone 18 Pro 256GB | ā¹1,64,900 | ā¹26,316 | ā¹1,57,896 |
| iPhone 18 Pro 512GB | ā¹1,89,900 | ā¹30,483 | ā¹1,82,898 |
| iPhone 18 Pro 1TB | ā¹2,39,900 | ā¹38,817 | ā¹2,32,902 |
| iPhone 18 Pro 2TB | ā¹3,14,900 | ā¹51,317 | ā¹3,07,902 |
| iPhone 18 Pro Max 256GB | ā¹1,79,900 | ā¹28,817 | ā¹1,72,902 |
| iPhone 18 Pro Max 2TB | ā¹3,29,900 | ā¹53,817 | ā¹3,22,902 |
The right-hand column is our arithmetic on Apple’s published figures, not a figure Apple states. In every row it lands within a few rupees of the list price minus ā¹7,000, which is also the cashback figure recorded for the iPhone 18 Pro launch offer specifically.

Why the ā¹15,000 number is not your number
Apple India’s ways-to-buy page publishes instant cashback of up to ā¹15,000 with qualifying American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards. That is a store-wide ceiling covering everything Apple sells in India, and it is not what an iPhone 18 Pro attracts.
Two more conditions sit alongside it. The minimum transaction is ā¹10,001, and the offer is limited to two orders in any rolling 90-day period, so a household buying several devices cannot collect it repeatedly.
Exchange is the biggest single lever
Apple India’s published wording is to save up to ā¹62,000 when you exchange an eligible smartphone, which dwarfs anything the card offers do. As always, that is a ceiling for a recent flagship in good condition rather than a price list, and Apple India publishes no per-model exchange table.
The practical detail worth knowing before September 12: iPhone exchange is available both online and in store, while Mac, iPad and Apple Watch exchange in India is in-store only.
The rules that stop you stacking everything
- No Cost EMI runs over 3 or 6 months, not two years, so the monthly figure is large by design.
- Cashback requires a card from one of the named issuers. Any other card pays list price.
- The offers are not available to Business customers.
- They cannot be combined with Education pricing or Corporate Employee Purchase Plan pricing.
- Apple India states the offers may be revised or withdrawn at any time without prior notice.
There is one more thing to keep in mind when comparing with the United States. Indian list prices are quoted with tax included, while the $1,199 American figure excludes sales tax entirely, so the gap between the two markets is smaller than the raw conversion suggests.
The cheapest route, in order
- Get the exchange quote first, because it is the largest number in the exercise and it comes off the price.
- Pay with an eligible Amex, Axis Bank or ICICI Bank card so the cashback applies.
- Choose the storage tier before you choose the payment plan. The step from 256GB to 2TB is ā¹1,50,000 on the Pro, far more than any offer will return.
- Treat the EMI figure as the post-cashback monthly cost, not a starting price.
What has not been confirmed
Apple India publishes no per-model exchange values, and no iPhone-specific cashback ceiling. The ā¹7,000 figure is what has been recorded for this launch and what Apple’s own monthly figures are consistent with, but Apple does not state it as an iPhone number on its page. Nothing about these offers is guaranteed to survive the launch week.
