Apple opens iPhone 18 Pro pre-orders at a single moment worldwide, 5 a.m. PT on Saturday, September 12, and begins putting phones in hands on Friday, September 18. That is a six-day window between the tap that commits your money and the day Apple says the phone arrives.
The six days are not the same everywhere. Apple’s press release says availability begins September 18 in more than 65 countries and regions, with 20 more countries following on Friday, September 25. In those 20, the same pre-order moment leads to a thirteen-day wait, and Apple has not published which countries they are. One moment, ten different clocks
Pre-orders do not open at 5 a.m. in each country. They open at 5 a.m. Pacific, and every other storefront inherits whatever hour that lands on. Apple’s regional Store pages state the local translation: 1 pm BST in the UK, 14:00 in Germany and France, 4 pm local in the UAE, 5:30 pm IST in India, 8 pm SGT in Singapore, 9 pm JST in Japan and 10 pm AEST in Australia.

Canada is the odd one out. Apple’s Canadian page states the time as 5 a.m. PT rather than converting it, which is 8 a.m. Eastern for most Canadian buyers. That is our arithmetic on Apple’s published time, not a figure Apple prints.

Why most Store pages will not name your delivery date
Every regional buy page for iPhone 18 Pro is currently in what Apple labels “Get ready for pre-order” mode. Prices are listed for all four storage tiers, but only the Singapore, UAE and India pages spell out 18 September. For the rest, the September 18 date comes from Apple’s newsroom, which names Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Japan, Singapore, the UAE, the UK and the US in the first wave.
September 18 is the earliest date Apple has published for those countries, and it applies to the launch rather than to your particular order. Apple publishes no per-configuration shipping estimate before pre-orders open, so you will see your own delivery estimate at checkout and not before.
iPhone Duo stretches the window to seven days
The foldable runs a month behind and on a slightly longer leash. iPhone Duo pre-orders open at 5 a.m. PT on Friday, October 16, with availability on Friday, October 23: seven days rather than six. Apple adds 28 more regions on October 30, which makes a fourteen-day gap for anyone in them.
The local clocks repeat the September pattern, because it is the same Pacific instant: 1 pm in the UK, 14:00 in Germany and France, 4 pm in the UAE, 5:30 pm IST, 8 pm SGT, 9 pm JST and 10 pm AEST. If you plan to buy both phones, the two pre-order days are five weeks apart.
What the six days are actually for
- Software: iOS 27 ships free on Monday, September 14, so your current iPhone can be running the new release before the new one arrives.
- Trade-in preparation: back up, turn off Find My and sign out of your Apple Account. Apple’s trade-in estimate is valid for 14 days after you receive the new device, so the clock starts at delivery, not at pre-order.
- Payment: Apple’s US financing figures are $49.95 a month over 24 months for the $1,199 iPhone 18 Pro and $54.12 for the $1,299 Pro Max, with the full price breakdown here.
- Nothing else. Apple has published no way to move an order forward once it is placed.
What Apple has not said
Apple has not named the 20 countries in the September 25 second wave, nor the 28 regions in the iPhone Duo’s October 30 wave. It has not published delivery estimates, shipping windows or stock levels for any configuration, and it has not stated an availability date on most regional Store pages. Anything you read putting a specific ship date on a specific colour and capacity today is not coming from Apple.
