Starting as early as next week, people who apply for and open a new Apple Card in retail stores will be treated to a surprisingly big reward. The new offer is basically a clever way to give new customers a completely free set of premium wireless earbuds just for joining the financial program.

According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, the deal works like a direct rebate. When you sign up for the credit card at a physical retail store and then buy the new AirPods Pro 3, you will receive $249 in cash back. It is not clear yet if this deal will be available online, so visiting an actual store might be your best option.
This new bonus is much larger than usual sign-up offers, which normally require a referral link from a friend to activate.
