Pebble's new Time smartwatch is shipping now
Pebble said the first 10,000 Pebble Time rewards will ship this week, and all Kickstarter backers should have their shipping notifications by mid June. Everyone else can place an order starting on June 22.
Time is Pebble's newest smartwatch. It's about 20 percent thinner than the original Pebble smartwatch, has a slightly curved body to better fit your wrist, and offers a seven-day battery life. Instead of an OLED display like Apple Watch, Pebble Time sports a color e-ink display.

Pebble also included an accessory port so other companies can design wristbands with add-on features to enhance the watch's capabilities. For customers who want more metal than plastic, Pebble also introduced a Steel model.
The original Pebble proved to be popular with the smartwatch crowd, although it didn't have any competition from Apple. With Apple Watch on the scene now, it'll be interesting to see if Pebble Time's successful Kickstarter launch carries over into retail sales.
