If you use ChatGPT or Codex to manage your daily tasks, your workflow just got a little bit easier. OpenAI recently announced that its popular artificial intelligence tools now officially support multiple Gmail and Google Calendar profiles. This highly requested update means you no longer have to constantly log in and out to switch between your personal inbox and your professional work schedule.
Users can now connect several inboxes to a single chat
Before this update, the system forced you to connect only one email profile at a time. This limitation bothered people who wanted their smart assistant to read personal messages and professional notes in the same conversation. Now, the platform can pull data from several authorized identities at once without any extra hassle.
If you want to add a second or third profile, just open the plugins menu on the left side of your screen. From there, click the gear icon next to your connected tools and follow the standard authorization steps. Once you finish, your digital assistant will have a much broader understanding of your communications and relationships.

The update keeps personal and work information completely separate
Even though the AI tool can now see all your data in one place, it does not actually merge your profiles. Your work calendar and your personal contacts remain fully separate behind the scenes. The chatbot simply acts as a shared interface, letting you easily switch contexts while working on your daily tasks.
This change is especially helpful for people using the platform to draft replies or schedule meetings across different organizations. Just keep in mind that your connected accounts are still subject to their own workplace security rules. If your company has strict administrator settings, you might need permission before letting the assistant read your professional calendar.
