Apple’s headline monthly figure for iPhone Duo is $83.29 for 24 months, and it is the $1,999 price divided by 24 rather than a finance quote. Multiply it back out and you get $1,998.96, four cents short of the cash price.

Only five of the ten Apple storefronts that list the Duo publish a monthly figure for it at all, and the terms behind those figures run from six months to 36. A monthly number is not comparable between two markets unless the term comes with it, which is one of the details our event recap could only note in passing.

Every figure is the price divided by its term

Four of the five are a straight division, rounded to the smallest local unit. The rounding leaves a remainder of four cents in the US, ten pence in the UK and twelve yen in Japan, and Apple does not publish which payment absorbs it.

Canada rounds the other way, so 24 payments of C$124.96 total four cents more than the price. None of the five figures includes tax.

India is the exception, because its numbers are not the price divided by six. Each is the tier price less roughly ₹7,000, then divided by six. Apple India publishes a store-wide instant cashback ceiling of ₹15,000 with eligible cards, while the figure reported for iPhone specifically is up to ₹7,000, and that is what the arithmetic reflects.

Canada publishes a monthly figure and a 7.99 percent payment plan

C$124.96 over 24 months adds up to the cash price, which describes an interest-free split. Apple Canada’s own payment plan, offered on approved credit for iPhone purchases over C$99, carries a 7.99 percent APR.

Its published representative example is a C$1,099 purchase repaying C$1,192.79 over 24 monthly payments of C$49.70. The two numbers are produced by different methods, and Apple has not published what a financed iPhone Duo costs in Canada.

Only the UK and India publish a figure for every tier

The US release gives one monthly figure for a phone sold in four sizes. Two storefronts give four.

TierUK, 30 months at 0 percent APRIndia, from, over 6 months
256GB£66.63₹48,817
512GB£73.30₹52,983
1TB£86.63₹61,317
2TB£106.63₹73,817

The UK term is the reason its figures look low next to the American ones. The same £1,999 phone at £66.63 a month would total £1,599 over 24 payments, which is not the price, so the 30-month term is doing the work rather than a discount.

Five storefronts publish no monthly figure at all

  • Australia names an instalment provider on the Duo page and gives no figure.
  • Germany refers to terms of three to 36 months without a per-model figure.
  • France shows a generic instalment example built on a €1,500 purchase, not on either Duo price.
  • Singapore shows no monthly figure.
  • The UAE describes bank instalments as 0 percent subject to the bank, with no figure.

What has not been confirmed

To take the American 24-month split you have to choose AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon at checkout, since Apple’s installment terms require one of the three and exclude prepaid plans. No carrier has published an iPhone Duo offer.

Apple also lists an Apple Upgrade lease from $57.99 a month over 24 months. That is a lease rather than a purchase, AppleCare is not included in it, and Apple has not published the one-time payment that would buy the phone at the end of the term.

Germany and Australia have no published Duo financing terms, and Apple has published no AppleCare+ price for the phone in any market. For the cash prices behind all of this, see our tier-by-tier look at iPhone Duo against iPhone 18 Pro Max and at the iPhone 18 Pro monthly option.

Pre-orders open Friday, October 16 at 5 a.m. PT, seven days before iPhone Duo reaches stores on Friday, October 23, so any monthly figure Apple adds for the larger tiers should appear on the Store pages that day.
