Perplexity Brings New Multitasking Features to Comet Browser on iPad

Perplexity is expanding its Comet web browser with a major update tailored specifically for tablet users. The search company recently released a new version of its application that runs natively on the popular Apple device. This update allows people to interact with artificial intelligence while browsing the web much more comfortably. It brings core multitasking tools to the screen, helping users manage different tasks without constantly switching between apps.

Comet now handles multiple windows and split views for users

The upgraded Comet browser takes full advantage of iPadOS software. You can now open multiple browser windows at the same time or use Split View to run Comet right next to other apps. This makes research and daily web surfing much easier on an iPad.

Comet is built around an AI search system that understands what you want to do. Instead of just giving you a list of links, it pulls information from across the web to give you a clear answer.

The browser includes a handy side panel that can summarize articles, answer specific questions about the page you are reading, and even handle tasks like booking a hotel room or drafting an email.

Perplexity first launched Comet for Mac and brought it to the iPhone in March. Now, tablet owners can download the updated version directly from the App Store. Because it handles multi-step requests on its own, it saves you from opening dozens of tabs to find what you need.
