Apple’s iPhone Handoff support guide says two phones need iOS 27 or later, Wi-Fi, the same Apple Account, iMessage, FaceTime, and Messages in iCloud. T-Mobile says calls, texts, data, hotspot, Scam Shield, and eligible T-Satellite services can work on the secondary phone.

What remains unconfirmed
T-Mobile has not published every supported plan or regional billing detail, and Apple has not listed other US carriers for launch. Would you pay $5 a month to share one number across two iPhones?
The carrier’s announcement also places the feature beside its new iPhone offers, but a discount on a device is separate from the recurring Handoff charge. Customers should check their plan terms before assuming the feature is included. Apple’s support instructions describe the phone relationship as primary and secondary, and some carrier controls remain available only on the primary device. That means Handoff reduces the inconvenience of switching phones, but it does not make the two devices identical in every account or accessory function.
