Apple Watch Series 12 Bands: Apple Has Priced None of Them, and Where the Money Actually Goes

Apple Watch Series 12 Sport Bands

Apple has announced every new band for Apple Watch Series 12 and published a price for none of them. The only Series 12 figure on Apple’s store page is From $399, which covers the 42mm aluminium model with whatever band that configuration includes. There is no published band price list, and no published price for the Hermes models.

That matters for anyone trying to build a budget this week, because the band is the part buyers change their mind about most and the part Apple has left blank. The figures that are published come from retailers, and they show the case, not the band, is where the money goes.

Every band Apple has announced for Series 12

  • Sport Band in olive, burgundy, wildflower blue and pale succulent.
  • Sport Loop in chambray blue, magenta, burgundy plaid and light umber plaid, using a new inkjet printing process.
  • Milanese Loop in radiant gold and dark bronze.
  • Modern Buckle in a new woven material, with a gold hardware option.
  • Apple Watch Hermes Series 12 pairs a radiant gold titanium case with a Noir satin Clou de Selle band and the new Rocabar Club band, which carries a three-dimensional H pattern.

Apple says the new bands became orderable on September 9 and reach stores on September 18, the same day as the watches. What Apple has not said is what any of them cost on their own.

Where the money actually goes

Retailer listings fill in the configuration prices Apple has not published. These are the retailers’ prices and not Apple’s, and they should not be quoted as Apple figures, but they show the shape of the decision.

ConfigurationListed price
42mm aluminium, GPS$399
46mm aluminium, GPS$449
42mm aluminium, GPS plus Cellular$499
46mm aluminium, GPS plus Cellular$549
42mm titanium$699
46mm titanium$749
Titanium, top of Best Buy’s pre-order rangeUp to $799

That is a $350 spread between the cheapest and dearest configuration on Amazon’s listing, by our arithmetic on its published figures, and a $400 spread once Best Buy’s titanium ceiling is included. No band decision published so far comes close to moving the bill by that much.

What to skip until Apple publishes band prices

  • Do not budget for a second band. There is no published number to budget against, and any figure circulating now is not Apple’s.
  • Do not plan a Hermes purchase on an estimate. Apple has published neither a Hermes Series 12 price nor a price for the Grand H titanium band on Apple Watch Ultra 4.
  • Do not assume the size and material step-ups are small. Cellular adds $100 and titanium adds $300 at Amazon’s listed prices.
  • Do take the one confirmed launch saving if it applies. Best Buy’s listing takes up to $325 off a Series 12 pre-order for an eligible Apple Watch trade-in, expiring 9/18/2026. It comes off the watch, not a band, and up to $325 is a ceiling for a recent watch in flawless condition.

The two Apple-side routes that work on any configuration are the Veterans and Military Purchase Program at 10 percent, which is $39.90 on a $399 watch, and Apple Trade In, which credits a recorded $200 for a Series 11 and $150 for a Series 10 and applies instantly at checkout.

What has not been confirmed

  • Apple has published no standalone price for any Series 12 band, in any collection.
  • Apple has published no price for Apple Watch Hermes Series 12 or its bands.
  • Apple has published no titanium, ceramic or cellular Series 12 price, and no AppleCare Plus price for the watch.
  • Apple has not published which band ships with which configuration at the From $399 entry point.
  • Walmart, Costco and Target have published no Series 12 or band offer.

Series 12 and the new bands reach stores on Friday, September 18, and watchOS 27 arrives on September 14. Apple has not said when band prices will be published, or whether they will appear before launch day. Until they do, the safest budget is the watch itself.
