Apple’s UK Store page lists the iPhone 18 Pro from £39.96 a month and the iPhone 18 Pro Max from £43.30 a month, both over 30 months at 0 percent APR. The most expensive configuration, the 2TB Pro Max, is £83.30 a month. Multiply any of those figures by 30 and you land within 20p of the cash price.
That makes the UK plan a straight split of the list price rather than a discount or a premium. It also uses a longer term than Apple’s US financing, which is quoted over 24 months, so the two countries’ monthly numbers are not directly comparable even before currency comes into it. The arithmetic is simple. £1,199 divided by 30 is £39.9667, which Apple shows as £39.96. £2,499 divided by 30 is exactly £83.30. The largest shortfall between 30 payments and the cash price is 20p, on the £1,199, £1,799, £2,399 and £1,499 tiers; Apple’s page does not say how that rounding is settled, so treat the monthly figure as a guide to the pennies.
What each upgrade adds to the monthly bill
Because the plan is a flat split, the storage steps translate directly into monthly increments. On the iPhone 18 Pro, 256GB to 512GB adds £6.67 a month (£46.63 minus £39.96), which over 30 months is £200.10, matching the £200 cash difference. 512GB to 1TB adds £13.33 a month, or £399.90 over the term, against a £400 cash step. 1TB to 2TB adds £20.00 a month, or £600 over 30 months.
The Pro Max costs £100 more than the Pro at every tier, and that shows up as £3.34 a month at 256GB (£43.30 minus £39.96), £3.33 at 512GB, £3.34 at 1TB and £3.34 at 2TB. So the bigger screen and Apple’s 45-hour video playback rating cost less per month than any storage upgrade; the smallest storage step is twice the Pro Max premium.

How the US 24-month figures compare
Apple’s US press release quotes the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro at $49.95 a month and the 256GB Pro Max at $54.12 a month, both for 24 months. Twenty-four times $49.95 is $1,198.80, and 24 times $54.12 is $1,298.88, so the US plan is also a straight split of the $1,199 and $1,299 list prices, just over a shorter term.
The difference in term is what to notice. A 24-month split spreads the same list price over six fewer payments than the UK’s 30-month plan, so each US payment covers a larger slice: one twenty-fourth of the price rather than one thirtieth. The US and UK list prices carry the same digits in different currencies, £1,199 and $1,199, but we are not converting them, because the exchange rate is not something Apple sets.
Apple’s US product page also lists an Apple Upgrade lease at $34.99 a month over 24 months, or $49.99 a month over 12 months, for the 256GB Pro. Apple has not published an equivalent lease option or per-tier monthly figures beyond 256GB for the US, and the UK page shows no lease at all.
Pre-order timing and what the UK page does not say
UK pre-orders open at 1:00 pm BST on Saturday, September 12, the same moment as Apple’s 5 a.m. PT start in the US. Apple’s press release lists the UK among the first-wave countries with availability on Friday, September 18.
Apple’s UK Store page shows no AppleCare+ price and no per-model trade-in value for the iPhone 18 Pro, so we cannot add those to the monthly total.
