Apple’s new Siri, called Siri AI, comes to Apple Watch with watchOS 27 on Monday, September 14, 2026. It launches in beta, in English only, with French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish due in October, and it is not available to users under 13.
This is the first time Apple’s rebuilt assistant reaches the wrist, and it lands the same day it arrives on iPhone with iOS 27. On the watch, Apple describes it as Siri AI with personal context, and it sits at the center of several other watchOS 27 changes.

The language schedule matches the one Apple gave for iOS 27. English ships first, and five more languages follow about a month later.

Apple has not published a date beyond October for the second wave, and has not said which other languages might follow later.
What Siri AI does on the wrist
Apple’s release ties Siri to a handful of new watchOS 27 features rather than describing a long list of new commands.
- Siri AI with personal context, meaning the assistant can draw on information about you when answering.
- A dynamic app grid with Siri-suggested apps.
- A new Siri Modular watch face.
- Smart Stack widget suggestions and a single-handed tap gesture for the Smart Stack.
On the new Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, the S11 chip adds a separate set of on-watch audio features, including Siri Recap, which produces conversation summaries, and Live Rewind, which turns the previous 15 seconds of conversation into text. Apple says this audio processing runs inside a hardware-isolated Secure Exclave on the chip with immediate deletion. Apple has not said whether these features come to older watches.
On iPhone, Apple says Apple Intelligence runs on-device and with Private Cloud Compute. Apple has not published how much of the watch experience is handled on the watch versus the paired iPhone.
Who can use Siri AI on Apple Watch
The base requirement is watchOS 27, which runs on Apple Watch Series 9 and later, Apple Watch SE 3, and Apple Watch Ultra 2 and later, paired with an iPhone 11 or later or an iPhone SE (3rd generation) running iOS 27.
Apple’s release does not say whether Siri AI on the watch needs an Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone, as hands-free Siri AI on AirPods 5 does. Until Apple clarifies, owners of older iPhones on the watchOS 27 compatibility list should not assume the beta will be available to them.
The under-13 restriction is the only age limit Apple has published for the watch. Some features in the redesigned Health app carry an 18-and-over requirement, but Apple has not applied that to Siri.
