Adding new ringtones and alert tones to your iPhone isn't a bid deal, but what if you want custom vibration alerts? That's easy, too, and everything you need is already on your iPhone.
Here's how to make custom vibration alerts on your iPhone:
- Tap Settings
- Tap Sounds
- Tap Ringtone
- Tap Vibration
- Now tap Create New Vibration
It takes a few taps in Settings to find the custom vibration feature
- Start tapping your iPhone's display to make your custom vibration. You can get longer vibration lengths by keeping your finger on the screen. Quick taps give you short vibrations.
- Tap Stop after you're done tapping your vibration pattern.
Just tap your iPhone display to record your custom vibration pattern
You can check out your vibration pattern by tapping Play. If you don't like what you made, you can start over by tapping the screen again. Once you like your new vibration masterpiece tap Save. Give your creation a name, and it's ready to use just like any other vibration alert.
Now you can use custom vibrations for your friend's text messages
But how do I assign a custom ring tone, you ask? All you need to do is edit a contact. You can give people unique ring tones, text alert tones, and different vibrations for calls and texts.
