New customers in India can no longer sign up for Apple One, and anyone there who pays for Apple TV or Apple Arcade on its own will have that subscription cancelled and folded into iCloud+. Current Apple One members keep their plans.
Both changes are in the fine print of Apple’s September 14 announcement that every iCloud+ plan now includes Apple TV and Apple Arcade. Apple posted it country by country, and the editions for Saudi Arabia, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Mozambique close Apple One to new subscribers too. What changes for you depends on what you pay for now.
If you pay for Apple TV or Apple Arcade on its own
Apple moves you over. The India announcement says “Apple Arcade and Apple TV will no longer be available as individual subscriptions directly through Apple in India,” and that current subscribers “will continue to have uninterrupted access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade through their iCloud+ subscription. Their existing individual Apple TV or Apple Arcade subscription will be cancelled. Game progress and saves on Apple Arcade will be preserved.”

If you don’t already have iCloud+, Apple’s iCloud+ page says “you’ll be notified via push notification and email that you’re now subscribed to iCloud+.” Apple doesn’t mention refunds for time left on the old subscription. Read that email, then check your subscriptions in Settings to see what you’ll be charged next.
If you have Apple One, or were about to sign up
Existing plans carry on. The India announcement says: “Apple One will no longer be available for new subscribers in India. Current Apple One subscribers will continue to have access to their Apple One subscription.” Apple’s iCloud+ page adds that an Apple One plan “continues unchanged and includes access to all services in your plan,” and that you can switch to iCloud+ in Settings > Account > Manage Subscriptions.
Think before you switch. Apple One includes Apple Music and iCloud+ doesn’t, so leaving Apple One, or missing the chance to join it, means paying for music separately.
What iCloud+ offers music listeners instead
Every iCloud+ plan comes with Apple Music Select, which Apple describes as “a collection of ad-free stations programmed by Apple Music for lean-back listening,” with regional music plus “Top Songs, 80s, 90s, and more.” The stations sit in the Home tab of the Music app. You can’t choose songs; on-demand listening still needs a paid Apple Music subscription.
iCloud+ subscribers get that subscription for less. Apple’s India announcement lists INR 115 a month for the Individual Plan and INR 145 for the Family Plan, while Apple’s Apple Music page for India lists INR 139 and INR 229. The iCloud+ page says the lower price applies only “when both subscriptions are billed directly through Apple,” and on a shared plan only the family organiser can claim it. Apple’s own pages don’t always agree on the figure: the iCloud+ page for India shows INR 119 rather than INR 115, and there are similar mismatches for Mali and Türkiye, so go by the price on the confirmation screen.
If you already pay for iCloud+
There’s nothing to do. Apple’s iCloud+ page for India says existing subscribers “automatically gain access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no additional cost.” Plans run INR 75 a month for 50GB, INR 219 for 200GB, INR 749 for 2TB, INR 2,999 for 6TB and INR 5,900 for 12TB. Any of them can be shared with up to five other family members, and Apple TV and Apple Arcade “are shared automatically.”
To see whether the change has reached your account, open Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > iCloud+. Apple says Apple TV and Apple Arcade are listed in your subscription details once they’re included where you live. Apple TV content and Arcade games “may vary by country, region, or device,” so check the apps for specific titles such as the Apple TV premieres dated through November 20 or the Apple Arcade games due in October.
Airtel postpaid customers
The India announcement has a separate paragraph for Airtel: “For users in India, Airtel customers with an iPhone will be able to access the expanded iCloud+ subscription with Apple TV and Apple Arcade by subscribing to eligible Airtel postpaid plans. Customers already subscribed to Apple TV through these select Airtel postpaid plans can transition to an iCloud+ subscription with Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no additional costs.”
Apple doesn’t name the eligible plans or explain how the move works, so Airtel is the place to ask.
Country by country
We read nine of Apple’s country announcements. All nine end standalone Apple TV and Apple Arcade subscriptions and keep Arcade saves. The Apple One closure and the Apple Music price differ, and the prices below are monthly, as listed in each announcement.

Apple says the bundle rolls out to “over 100 countries and regions through the end of September,” and that Apple TV “is expanding to 59 new countries and will be available in 170 countries across the globe.” Its iCloud+ information page lists the countries getting the bundle but not where Apple One closes.
