What Is Go Team! About? Netflix's Spanish Workplace Comedy Arrives This Weekend
Netflix/YouTube

Netflix’s weekend lineup includes a workplace comedy in which a company retreat becomes the last place anyone wants to be. Go Team! premieres globally on September 11, 2026, bringing a struggling Spanish cheese maker and its anxious employees to a rural getaway.

The movie comes from creators Adolfo Valor and Cristóbal Garrido, with Diego Núñez Irigoyen directing. Zeta Studios produced the film. The release is positioned as a broad ensemble comedy, with the workplace crisis giving each employee a reason to question management and one another.

The rural setting also reverses the usual promise of a corporate escape. Instead of offering distance from office problems, the trip concentrates them in one place where the staff cannot simply return to their desks and avoid the conversation.

What is Go Team! about?

Tío Mochales was once a major name in Spanish cheese, but the company is now struggling to remain afloat. Management sends its employees to the small village where the business began for a team-building retreat built around a return to traditional values.

The workers soon learn that large layoffs are coming. That news turns an already downgraded corporate trip into a trap. The central comic conflict is not a mystery about whether the company is healthy. It is how a group of colleagues behaves when they know some of them may not have jobs after the retreat.

Netflix’s official synopsis keeps the outcome private, so viewers can go into the film without knowing which employees stay or how the company handles the crisis.

Who is in the Go Team! cast?

Cast: Alexandra Jiménez, Maribel Verdú, Pedro Casablanc, Raúl Tejón, Blanca Martínez, Ismael Fritschi, Víctor Rebull.

The announced cast combines experienced Spanish film and television performers. Alexandra Jiménez, Maribel Verdú, Pedro Casablanc, Raúl Tejón, and Blanca Martínez hold the top billing in Netflix’s release notice.

The film also includes special appearances by Saturnino García and Pepe Viyuela. The announcement names the performers but does not map every actor to a character. That distinction matters for a large ensemble, where guessing roles could create false relationships in the story. Netflix has not published character-by-character biographies for the full ensemble in its announcement, so assigning additional roles would go beyond the confirmed information.

When can you watch it?

Go Team! begins streaming worldwide on Friday, September 11. Netflix has released first-look images and a video through its official newsroom, but reviews and an audience ranking were not available before release.

No sequel or follow-up production has been announced. For now, the film is a self-contained option for viewers looking for a workplace comedy over the weekend.
