Teagan and Cam connect as outsiders who have to earn respect inside Easton’s wealthy rowing culture. Their first proper date in Episode 5 ends with tacos in Cam’s truck and plans for the fall formal. However, Cam’s insecurity about money creates tension, and their relationship breaks down after a brief period together.
The finale brings them back together after the Haverford Cup. Cam has moved into the stroke seat, while Teagan returns as coxswain after the team refuses to race without her. Easton takes silver, and the shared result restores some of the trust they lost. Cam later finds Teagan and kisses her, making him the person beside her in the season’s final romantic beat.

Why Josh is still part of the triangle
Josh tells Teagan that he wants more than friendship, ends his relationship with Britney and later hooks up with Teagan. His health crisis then interrupts the rivalry. Josh is diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, crashes his car after experiencing pain and undergoes heart surgery.
After surgery, Josh asks Teagan for another chance. Their meaningful look was designed to preserve the possibility of a relationship, even though Cam receives the kiss. Cam also does not know every detail about Teagan and Josh, leaving an honest conversation unfinished.
