Astropad Workbench App Helps You Manage Mac AI Agents Remotely

Astropad workbench for mac

Astropad just released a brand new application called Workbench. This tool allows users to control a Mac computer remotely using an iPhone or iPad. It specifically targets people who use devices like the Mac mini to run continuous background tasks, artificial intelligence agents, and automated jobs.

Instead of sitting directly in front of the computer, you can monitor everything from your mobile screen.

Features and remote access

Workbench uses its proprietary Liquid technology to stream high-quality, clear visuals without lag. You can view multiple screens from your desktop right on your mobile device. The interface includes full support for touch gestures, keyboards, mice, and the Apple Pencil. One of the most notable features is the built-in voice control.

A user can press a microphone button on the iPhone or iPad to dictate prompts straight to the computer. This makes interacting with language models or terminal commands much easier when you do not have a full keyboard handy.

Pricing and device requirements

If you want to try the software, Astropad offers a free tier that gives you 20 minutes of connection time every day. For users who need constant access, it charges $10 a month or $50 a year for an unlimited plan. You will need relatively modern software to run the application properly.

The tool requires macOS 15 or higher on your desktop, and your phone or tablet must run iOS 26 or newer. All connections rely on AES-256 encryption to keep your data private and secure.
