Apple no longer sells Apple Watch Series 11 or Apple Watch Ultra 3 on its own store. As of September 10, Apple’s Store page for Series 11 returns a 404, the Ultra buy page lists only Ultra 4 from $799, and the Apple Watch lineup consists of Series 12 from $399, Ultra 4 from $799 and Apple Watch SE 3 from $249.

That is a clean swap rather than a price cut. Apple did not keep last year’s watches at a lower price the way it sometimes does with iPhones. Both 2025 models remain on the watchOS 27 list, so they are supported, just not sold new by Apple. Every figure below comes from Apple’s Store pages, tech specs, compare page and press releases.

Series 11 is gone, and Series 12 costs the same

Apple’s press release for Series 11 in September 2025 listed it from $399, and Series 12 launches at the same starting price with an Apple Upgrade lease of $11.99 a month over 24 months. Apple’s Store page for Series 11 at apple.com/shop/buy-watch/apple-watch-series-11 no longer loads; the main Apple Watch buy page offers Series 12 in aluminum, titanium and ceramic, in 42 mm and 46 mm, GPS or GPS + Cellular.

For anyone who wanted a Series 11 specifically, the differences are modest on paper. Apple’s compare page lists both at 24 hours of battery, 38 hours in Low Power Mode, 2000 nits, 64GB of storage, 50 m water resistance, 5G and about 30 minutes to 80 percent charge. Series 12 changes the chip from S10 to S11, adds the Health Sensing System with heart rate every five seconds and HRV every five minutes, swaps Ion-X glass for Ceramic Shield 2 on aluminum models, and adds the Readiness score and Audio Intelligence. Our Series 12 vs Series 11 comparison lists all seven changes.

Ultra 3 is gone, and Ultra 4 holds $799

Apple’s Ultra 3 press release put it at $799, and Apple’s Store page for Apple Watch Ultra now shows only Ultra 4 from $799, with an Apple Upgrade lease of $24.99 a month. Ultra 3 was on sale for one year.

Ultra 4 keeps the 49 mm titanium case at 49 x 44 x 12 mm and adds 1.4 g, at 63.0 g natural or 63.1 g black against 61.6 g and 61.8 g for Ultra 3, per Apple’s tech specs. Battery goes from up to 42 hours to 50 hours, Low Power Mode from 72 to 84 hours, and a 15-minute charge from 12 hours to 18 hours. Satellite, 5G, 3000 nits and 100 m water resistance carry over. The Ultra 4 vs Ultra 3 guide has the full table.

SE 3 stays in the lineup at $249

The one 2025 watch Apple kept is Apple Watch SE 3, still listed from $249 on apple.com/shop/buy-watch/apple-watch-se. It uses the S10 chip with 64GB of storage, comes in 40 mm and 44 mm aluminum, has a 1000-nit Always-On display, up to 18 hours of battery with 32 hours in Low Power Mode, and charges to 80 percent in about 45 minutes. It is on the watchOS 27 list. Apple has not announced an SE update, which our roundup of what Apple did and did not say noted on event day.

Should you hunt for a Series 11 or Ultra 3 anyway?

  • Both run watchOS 27 from September 14, alongside Series 9, Series 10, SE 3 and Ultra 2, so support is not the issue.
  • Neither gets the Health Sensing System, Readiness, Audio Intelligence or Ceramic Shield 2, all of which Apple ties to the S11 hardware in Series 12 and Ultra 4.
  • Apple has not published a discounted price for either, because it is not selling them. Any lower price would come from a third party, and Apple has not said whether it will offer refurbished units.
  • If the appeal is the $399 or $799 price, the new watches cost exactly the same. See our Ultra 4 vs Series 12 buying guide for the choice between them.

What Apple has not said

  • Whether Series 11 or Ultra 3 will return as Apple Certified Refurbished, or at what price.
  • Trade-in values for Series 11 or Ultra 3; Apple’s trade-in page shows no per-model figures.
  • Regional Store status for Series 11 and Ultra 3 outside the US pages we checked.
  • Series 12 titanium, ceramic and cellular prices, and per-band Ultra 4 prices.
  • How long Series 11 and Ultra 3 will remain on the watchOS support list beyond watchOS 27.

If you had a Series 11 or Ultra 3 on your list, the replacement costs the same: Series 12 from $399 and Ultra 4 from $799, both available to pre-order now and in stores Friday, September 18, with SE 3 at $249 for the budget option. Full launch details are in our Series 12 announcement coverage.
