Yes. The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max come in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and, for the first time on any iPhone, 2TB. Both sizes get all four tiers, so the 2TB option is not reserved for the Pro Max.

Apple has only published prices for the 256GB models, $1,199 for the Pro and $1,299 for the Pro Max, so the cost of the 2TB tier is not yet known. Our iPhone 18 Pro announcement coverage has the full list of confirmed specs, and our pre-event price roundup set out the storage pricing expectations before the keynote.

There is no 128GB model. 256GB is the floor for both phones, which is where the iPhone 17 Pro also started. The monthly figures Apple lists, $49.95 and $54.12 for 24 months, apply to the 256GB models only.

Who actually needs 2TB on an iPhone?

2TB is aimed at people shooting a lot of high-bitrate video on the phone. The iPhone 18 Pro records 4K Dolby Vision HDR time-lapse and Cinematic-effect video at up to 60 fps, and Apple Reference Image stores an untouched original alongside every edited photo, which adds to what the phone keeps on board.

  • Choose 256GB if your library lives in iCloud and you rarely shoot long video.
  • Choose 512GB or 1TB if you keep years of photos on the phone or record 4K regularly.
  • Choose 2TB if you shoot 4K Dolby Vision video for work and want to keep originals on the device.

Apple has not said whether the 2TB model uses a different storage technology or whether it affects battery life, weight or delivery timing.

Can you upgrade storage later?

No. iPhone storage is fixed at purchase and cannot be expanded with a card or changed afterward, so the tier you pick on September 12 is the one you keep. That is why the choice matters more than it does on a Mac.

Pre-orders open Saturday, September 12 at 5 a.m. PT, with delivery from Friday, September 18 in more than 65 countries. Apple should list the 512GB, 1TB and 2TB prices when its store updates for pre-orders.
