The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 in the US for the 256GB model, or $83.29 per month for 24 months, according to Apple’s press release. It comes in four storage tiers, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB, but Apple has published a price for only the first one.

That puts Apple’s first foldable $800 above the iPhone 18 Pro at $1,199 and $700 above the iPhone 18 Pro Max at $1,299. The number lands almost exactly where our iPhone Duo price rumor roundup expected it to, which is unusual for an entirely new product line.

iPhone Duo price vs iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max

ModelStarting price (256GB)Monthly (24 months)Available
iPhone 18 Pro$1,199$49.95September 18
iPhone 18 Pro Max$1,299$54.12September 18
iPhone Duo$1,999$83.29October 23

The extra $700 to $800 buys the folding 7.6-inch display, a second 5.4-inch display, a Grade 5 titanium frame with Ceramic Shield front and back, and a dual battery system rated at up to 24 hours of typical use. It does not buy everything the Pro has: the Duo has no telephoto lens, no variable-aperture main camera and no Face ID, as our iPhone 18 Pro vs iPhone Duo comparison lays out.

iPhone Duo storage: four tiers, one published price

Apple’s press release and product page list 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB configurations but give a price only for the base model. The release also lists an Apple Upgrade lease from $57.99 per month on a 24-month term. Apple has not published what the 512GB, 1TB and 2TB models cost, and it has not said how large the step between tiers is.

The iPhone 18 Pro uses the same four tiers, and Apple did not publish its upper-tier prices in the press release either. Apple normally lists every configuration when the Apple Store opens for pre-orders, so the full Duo price list should appear on October 16 if not before.

What Apple has not said about the price

  • Prices for the 512GB, 1TB and 2TB models
  • What the Apple Upgrade lease costs above 256GB
  • Trade-in values or carrier promotions
  • Prices outside the US, although Apple has confirmed more than 70 launch countries

What is in the box and what costs extra

The box contains the iPhone Duo running iOS 27.1 and a 1 m USB-C cable. There is no power adapter; Apple’s charging claims are based on a 60W USB-C adapter, which reaches 50 percent in about 20 minutes, or a 35W adapter with MagSafe, which takes about 30 minutes.

Accessories are extra: the iPhone Duo Case is $79 and the iPhone Duo Folio with integrated kickstand is $129. Messages via satellite, Emergency SOS via satellite and Roadside Assistance via satellite are free for two years, and Apple Pencil (USB-C) support arrives later in 2026, with the Pencil sold separately.

Pre-orders open Friday, October 16 at 5 a.m. PT, with delivery from Friday, October 23 in more than 70 countries. Apple has not published carrier promotions or trade-in values for the Duo.
