The full climb from 256GB to 2TB is €1,500 in either country. In the US the same climb is $1,200, from $1,999 to $3,199, with steps of $200, $400 and $600.

Storage is the only choice that moves the price; both colours cost the same and every tier has the same A20 Pro chip, displays and cameras, per Apple’s tech specs.

Apple’s French Store page prices iPhone 18 Pro at €1,479 against €1,449 in Germany, and iPhone 18 Pro Max at €1,629 against €1,599, a €30 gap at every tier of both phones. For iPhone Duo the gap is €40 at every tier.

Apple has not published an explanation for either figure or for the difference between them. The tables here report what each Store page lists, and our iPhone 18 Pro Germany price page and iPhone 18 Pro France price page have the September phones tier by tier.

How the euro prices compare with iPhone 18 Pro Max

The fold premium over the largest non-folding iPhone is €700 in Germany and €710 in France at every storage tier.

256GB€1,599€2,299€700€1,629€2,339€710

2TB€3,099€3,799€700€3,129€3,839€710

Against the smaller iPhone 18 Pro the gap is €850 in Germany (€2,299 against €1,449) and €860 in France (€2,339 against €1,479), again constant across tiers.

What the premium buys, per Apple’s product page and press release: a 7.6-inch inner display that Apple says is 50 percent larger than the Pro Max screen, a 5.4-inch outer display, a Grade 5 titanium frame, Touch ID in the side button and a dual battery rated for up to 44 hours of video playback on the outer display. What it gives up: the Pro Max’s 4x tetraprism telephoto, the variable-aperture main camera and Face ID. Our iPhone Duo vs iPhone 18 Pro Max comparison has the full spec sheet.

Financing in Germany and France

Apple’s German Store page references financing over 3 to 36 months but gives no monthly figure for any iPhone Duo tier. Apple’s French page points to Cetelem and shows only a generic 36-month example on a €1,500 purchase: €41.67 per month at 0 percent, €44.82 at 4.79 percent, €47.12 at 8.16 percent or €51.27 at 14.01 percent.

That example is not tied to iPhone Duo, whose cheapest model costs €2,339 in France. The only per-model monthly figures Apple has published are in the US ($83.29 per month for 24 months, or an Apple Upgrade lease from $57.99) and the UK (£66.63 per month at 0 percent APR over 30 months).

Pre-order time and launch date

Both Store pages give a 14:00 local start on Friday, 16 October, listed as MESZ in Germany and CEST in France. That is the same moment as the 5 a.m. PT start in the US.

Apple’s press release names both Germany and France among the more than 70 countries and regions where iPhone Duo is available on Friday, 23 October, with 28 more following on Friday, 30 October. Orders go through apple.com/de or apple.com/fr, the Apple Store app, Apple Store locations, select carriers and partner stores. The phone is eSIM only, ships with iOS 27.1, and Siri AI launches in beta in English first, with French among the languages Apple says follow in October.
