Apple has published no timeline for Siri AI in Hindi, and no timeline for Apple Intelligence in Hindi either. Hindi is not among the 16 languages Apple lists, and the one dated expansion Apple has announced covers French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish in October.
That is the honest answer to a question a very large number of people in India are asking this week, and it is worth saying plainly rather than leaving it to inference. What Apple has published instead is a clear picture of what an iPhone set to English gets in India from Monday, and that picture is better than the language list alone suggests.

The languages Apple has dated, and the one it has not
Apple Intelligence launches with iOS 27 on 14 September in Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Vietnamese. Simplified and Traditional Chinese are counted separately, which is how the total reaches 16.

Siri AI is narrower still. Apple’s wording is that it is “rolling out with iOS 27 as a beta on Monday, September 14, for users with a supported device set to English, with support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish coming in October.” No Indian language appears in either list, and Apple has given no indication of what comes after October.
What an iPhone in India actually gets on Monday
India is well represented in Apple’s feature availability list, as long as the device language is English. This is the detail that gets lost when a headline reduces the question to Hindi alone.

So a person in Mumbai with an English-language iPhone gets most of what a person in London gets, and the gap is not really about India. It is about the language you speak to your phone in. The hardware requirement is separate again: full Apple Intelligence needs an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max or an iPhone 16 or later, which is why the A20 Pro in the new phones matters less to this question than people assume. Accessories inherit the same rules: the AirPods 5 add hands-free Siri AI, but only alongside an Apple Intelligence iPhone running iOS 27.
India is not on the list of places Apple has restricted
Apple has named two regions where Siri AI is held back, and India is neither. In the EU, Apple’s wording is that Siri AI “will not be available initially in the EU in iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS”, while Mac and Vision Pro users there can access it when set to a supported language. For China, Apple says Siri AI and the other new Apple Intelligence features will not be available while it works through regulatory requirements.
No comparable sentence exists for India. India is also named in the first wave of countries where the iPhone 18 Pro goes on sale on 18 September, and Apple India’s store lists the phone from ₹1,64,900 with pre-orders at 5:30 pm IST on 12 September. - Whether an English (India) variant qualifies for the features Apple restricts to “a supported English variant”.

- Whether Live Translation adds an Indian English variant for phone calls and FaceTime.
Siri AI opens in beta on Monday, 14 September, in English. Anyone in India who wants to try it can, provided the device language is set to English and the iPhone is on Apple’s supported list. Anyone waiting for Hindi has nothing from Apple to wait on yet.
