PCalc, a Terrific Calculator App for iOS, is Apple’s App of the Day

The best iOS calculator I’ve ever used is PCalc from James Thomson (TLA Systems).. By best, I don’t mean just good looks. I mean computational expertise imbued in an app that can be trusted to always get the answer right based on numerical analysis principles. PCalc is also a lot of fun, has a boatload of options in the settings, and even has an RPN mode for those who grew up with RPN on Hewlett Packard calculators.  It’s Apple’s App Of The day, so head on over and get the best designed calculator money can buy. It also has watchOS support.

Great suggestion. I may get it for my wife who uses and HP12C for financial stuff.

Any suggestions for a good Graphing Calculator for my daughter for her school work?

Last time I checked, the Hewlett Packard Prime is the best graphing calculator. I think there’s a new v2.

Looks Promising. I may spring for one of those.

GraphNCalc83 looks nice for iOS and is only 6 bucks.

Just bought PocketCAS as another iOS graphing calculator.
It is 1/2 off for the Pi day thingy.
        Looks very nice.

Also in my hunt, I ran across Desmos Graphing Calculator which is an online, free graphing calculator which is also being embedded in some testing services.
Very Very cool and useful for kids with fewer resources.
Plus nice to have something available during online testing if you forgot your HP Prime V2…. or phone…. or they won’t let you use your phone with its Calc App.
