Netflix has not renewed Crew Girl for Season 2 as of September 13, 2026. The first season ends with several clear paths for Teagan Tao’s story, but comments from the cast and showrunner about possible developments are ideas for a continuation, not an official order.
The distinction matters because Netflix’s official Crew Girl hub currently lists one season with eight episodes. Its ending coverage uses conditional language about what might happen if the story continues and provides no release date, production schedule or Season 2 episode count.
Netflix has also not published a renewal threshold or said when it will evaluate the series. Audience enthusiasm, cast comments and an ending designed to support more episodes may encourage speculation, but none of them can substitute for a company announcement.

What Netflix has said about Crew Girl Season 2
Spoilers ahead for the Crew Girl Season 1 finale.
Netflix’s official ending explainer lets Miku Martineau, Sam Braun, Kyle Clark and showrunner Vivian Lin discuss where the characters could go next. Their answers keep Teagan’s romance unsettled and raise questions about a new girls’ boat, but the article does not announce that another season is in development.
One nearby line on a Netflix sports-romance list can also cause confusion. The phrase “Season 2 is on the way” belongs to Finding Her Edge, the next show in that list, rather than Crew Girl. Netflix has not published equivalent renewal language for Teagan’s series.

What another season could continue
Britney convinces Easton Prep to create a girls’ rowing boat, giving Teagan a choice between that opportunity, the boys’ team she helped rebuild and her original ambition in single sculling. Coach Hayden loses his job after allowing Teagan and Cam to compete, so the existing crew also faces a leadership change.
Teagan kisses Cam, but Josh asks for another chance after heart surgery. Josh’s future in rowing remains unknown, and Cam has not learned every detail about Teagan and Josh. These are story openings, not confirmed Season 2 plots.
A continuation could also address David’s legal future after he turns himself in and the consequences of Coach Hayden losing his job. Netflix has not said that either thread will return.
