The UK is the gap in this picture. Apple’s UK newsroom had not published the AirPods 5 release when we checked, and Apple’s UK Store page for AirPods loads without any price text, so no pound figure is confirmed. Below are the exact Indian numbers, what separates the two models, and precisely what is still missing for Britain.

AirPods 5 price in India for both models
Apple sells the same two versions of AirPods 5 in India that it sells in the US. The ₹14,900 model ships with a USB-C charging case. The ₹17,900 model ships with the Wireless Charging Case, which Apple’s press release says adds a force sensor with swipe volume control, a first for the open-ear form factor, and charges on Apple Watch chargers, Qi chargers and USB-C.

Apple’s India release quotes plain rupee prices with no monthly figure. That contrasts with iPhone 18 Pro, which Apple’s India Store lists from ₹1,64,900 with EMI from ₹26,316 a month and up to ₹7,000 instant cashback on eligible cards. Neither concession is attached to AirPods.
What the extra ₹3,000 buys
Apple’s press release quotes up to 5 hours with noise cancellation on and up to 22 hours with the case. Apple’s tech specs page assigns those two figures to the Wireless Charging Case model and rates the standard model at up to 4 hours and up to 20 hours, so the more expensive model buys battery life as well as a better case.

Where the UK price stands
Apple has published UK pricing for its other September 9 products but not for AirPods 5. The UK copy of the AirPods 5 newsroom release returned an error on both address variants we tried, the UK newsroom’s Watch section still lists June 2026 as its most recent item, and Apple’s UK shop pages render prices in the browser rather than in the page source we can read.
Until Apple lists a figure on its own UK Store or newsroom, any pound price is an estimate rather than an Apple number. What is stated in Apple’s US release, and repeated in every regional release we could read, is that AirPods 5 go on sale on Friday, September 18 in the US and more than 65 other countries and regions.

AirPods 5 are by a wide margin the cheapest thing Apple announced on September 9 in India. These are the starting prices Apple has published for the rest of the lineup.

The Apple Watch Series 12 shares the AirPods’ September 18 in-store date. iPhone 18 Pro pre-orders open in India at 5:30 pm IST on September 12 for the same September 18 arrival, while iPhone Duo is an October product with pre-orders on October 16.
What Apple has not said
- A UK price for either model. The UK newsroom release and the UK Store page both failed to produce one.
- Whether the UK is in the September 18 first wave for AirPods 5. Apple’s release names only the US among more than 65 countries and regions.
- Any EMI, No Cost EMI or cashback offer on AirPods 5 in India. The ₹7,000 cashback Apple lists is for iPhone 18 Pro.
- Authorised reseller pricing or stock in India on September 18. Apple’s release covers its own channels only.
