All four are starting prices only; Apple’s Store pages for these countries do not show per-size, titanium, ceramic or cellular prices in served content, so this page sticks to the confirmed figures.
All four countries are in the first wave. Apple’s press release names Australia, France, Germany and Japan among the markets where Series 12 was available to pre-order from September 9 and reaches stores on Friday, September 18, alongside the US, UK, Canada, India, the UAE and more than 50 other countries and regions, as our Series 12 announcement coverage noted.

Apple Watch Series 12 price in Australia
Apple’s Australian press release lists Apple Watch Series 12 at a recommended retail price of A$649 including GST. That is the entry price; the release does not give figures for the 46mm case, the titanium or ceramic finishes, or the GPS plus Cellular models.

For context, the Apple Watch Ultra 4 is listed at A$1,349 in the same Australian release, a gap of A$700 between the cheapest Series 12 and the cheapest Ultra 4. Apple’s Australian release for the iPhone 18 Pro puts that phone at A$2,099, so a Series 12 at A$649 is less than a third of the new Pro iPhone.
Apple Watch Series 12 price in Germany and France
Apple’s German press release lists Series 12 from €449 including VAT, and Apple’s French press release lists the same starting figure, €449. The starting price is identical in the two countries; only the German release states that the figure includes tax.
The Ultra 4 starts at €899 in both Germany and France, so the Ultra premium in the euro zone is €450, almost exactly double the Series 12 entry price. Apple’s German release also gives monthly financing for the iPhone 18 Pro, but neither the German nor the French release lists a monthly figure for Series 12.
Neither release breaks out the 46mm, titanium, ceramic or cellular models, and Apple’s Store pages for Germany and France do not show those prices in served content.
Apple Watch Series 12 price in Japan
Apple’s Japanese press release lists Series 12 at ¥71,800 including tax. As elsewhere, Apple has published only the starting price; the 46mm case, titanium, ceramic and GPS plus Cellular models are not priced in the release, and Apple’s Store page for Japan does not show them in served content.
The Ultra 4 starts at ¥142,800 in Japan, which makes the Ultra premium ¥71,000, again very close to twice the Series 12 entry price. Japan is a first-wave country, so pre-orders opened September 9 and in-store availability is September 18.

The pattern is consistent: in every one of these markets, the cheapest Ultra 4 costs about twice the cheapest Series 12. Apple’s US footnote ties its $399 figure to the 42mm model, but the Australian, German, French and Japanese releases do not say which size or case their starting price refers to.
In the US, $399 is the same starting price as the Apple Watch Series 11 carried in September 2025. Apple’s regional releases do not restate last year’s local prices, so we are not claiming a year-over-year change for Australia, Germany, France or Japan.
Whatever the configuration, every Series 12 has the S11 chip, the Health Sensing System with heart rate readings every 5 seconds and HRV every 5 minutes, the Readiness score, up to 24 hours of battery with 15 minutes of charging for 12 hours, and Ceramic Shield 2 on aluminum models.
