Apple lists the iPhone 18 Pro at $1,199 or $49.95 a month for 24 months, and the iPhone 18 Pro Max at $1,299 or $54.12 a month. Over the full two years, those monthly figures add up to $1,198.80 for the Pro and $1,298.88 for the Pro Max.
Both phones are $100 more than the iPhone 17 Pro ($1,099) and iPhone 17 Pro Max ($1,199), so the monthly figures have climbed as well. The increase was widely expected, as our pre-event price roundup noted, but this is the first time Apple has put monthly numbers on the 18 Pro line.
How Apple’s 24-month figure is calculated
The monthly price is the 256GB retail price divided by 24, with the result cut off at the cent. $1,199 divided by 24 comes to $49.958, which Apple lists as $49.95, and $1,299 divided by 24 comes to $54.125, listed as $54.12.

Multiply those figures back out and you land a few cents under the sticker price. Apple has not said whether the final payment is adjusted to make up the difference, so budget for the full retail price either way.
| Model | Retail price (256GB) | Apple’s monthly figure | 24 payments in total | Versus retail |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone 18 Pro | $1,199 | $49.95 | $1,198.80 | $0.20 under |
| iPhone 18 Pro Max | $1,299 | $54.12 | $1,298.88 | $0.12 under |
What the monthly price does not tell you
Apple’s release gives monthly figures only for the 256GB models. The 512GB, 1TB and new 2TB tiers will cost more, but Apple has not published those prices or their monthly equivalents.
Several other details are missing from the announcement as well.
- Which financing program the monthly figure refers to, and whether interest applies
- How a trade-in changes the monthly amount
- Whether carrier installment plans match Apple’s figures
- Monthly pricing for the 512GB, 1TB and 2TB models
Until Apple’s store pages go live, the numbers above are the only official ones. Full specifications are in our iPhone 18 Pro announcement coverage.
