The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199 in the US, $100 more than the iPhone 17 Pro did at launch, and the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1,299, also up $100. Outside the US the year-over-year rise is larger in local currency: £100 in the UK, C$150 in Canada, €150 in Germany, ₹30,000 in India and ¥40,000 in Japan, based on Apple’s Store page for each country and last year’s launch prices as reported at the time.
The comparison is like for like. Both generations start at 256GB, so none of the increase comes from a bigger base tier. Apple no longer sells the iPhone 17 Pro, so there is no current Apple price to set against the new phone; the 2025 figures below are the launch prices reported when that phone went on sale, and we label them as such. The year-over-year table, market by market
Apple’s Store pages give the 2026 prices. The 2025 column is the reported launch price of the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max in each market. Where we could not verify last year’s figure, the cell says so rather than guessing.

US, Canada and the UK: $100, C$150 and £100
In the US the increase is the flat $100 Apple applied to both models, taking the Pro from $1,099 to $1,199 and the Pro Max from $1,199 to $1,299.
Canada moved by C$150 on the Pro, from a reported C$1,599 to C$1,749 on Apple’s Store page for Canada. The Pro Max is C$1,899 this year; we have not verified its 2025 launch price, so we have not calculated a rise. Apple’s Canadian newsroom release also advertises up to C$1,415 in trade-in credit with an iPhone 13 or newer. The confirmed regional prices piece has the Singapore and UAE figures alongside Canada.
The UK matches the US pattern: £100 more on each model, to £1,199 and £1,299. Apple’s Store page for the UK adds 0 percent APR financing over 30 months, which works out to £39.96 a month for the 256GB Pro and £43.30 for the Pro Max.
Germany, India and Japan: where the rise is biggest
Germany’s increase is €150 on both models, from reported 2025 prices of €1,299 and €1,449 to €1,449 and €1,599 on Apple’s Store page for Germany. That is an 11.5 percent rise on the Pro, a little above the US and UK.
India sees the largest local jump. The Pro goes from a reported ₹1,34,900 to ₹1,64,900, and the Pro Max from ₹1,49,900 to ₹1,79,900, a ₹30,000 increase either way. Apple’s Store page for India lists EMI from ₹26,316 a month on the Pro, up to six months of No Cost EMI, and up to ₹7,000 instant cashback with eligible cards.
Japan is close behind in percentage terms. The Pro rises ¥40,000 to ¥219,800 and the Pro Max ¥45,000 to ¥239,800, according to Apple’s Store page for Japan, against reported 2025 prices of ¥179,800 and ¥194,800. The UAE has the gentlest rise in the table: AED 400 on the Pro, to AED 5,099, and AED 544 on the Pro Max, to AED 5,499.
Markets we left out of the comparison
Apple’s Store pages also confirm the new prices for Australia (A$2,099 and A$2,299), France (€1,479 and €1,629) and Singapore (S$1,899 and S$2,099). We could not verify last year’s launch prices in those markets, so they are not in the table above.

What Apple has not said
- Apple does not publish year-over-year comparisons; every rise above is our arithmetic on Apple’s current prices and reported 2025 launch prices.
- Apple has not explained why the increase differs by market.
- Apple no longer lists the iPhone 17 Pro or 17 Pro Max in its Store, so there is no current Apple price for either.
- Apple has not published per-model trade-in values for the iPhone 17 Pro toward an 18 Pro.
- Verified 2025 launch prices for Australia, France and Singapore were not available to us.
